  1. Fruity has one on the back of his hybrid Looks just like this one Not sure who sells them though
  2. if you haven't seen it already
  3. Has it really got 1200 BHP though ???? I'd love to see a dyno readout saying it does B)
  4. Mine's pink for some reason Not sure what guage it is, but the cable is about 4mm thick
  5. Gong off topic a bit here, but why is there big concern about the weight of these arms ?
  6. That'll do the job nicely Why didn't i think of that before
  7. 265/75 17.75” free length springs ( don't know lbs/in) 14" travel shocks Planning on fitting some 33" in the future so only want to do this job once
  8. So the underside of the wheel box doesn't get munched by the tyre
  9. I'm after ideas for lowering my bump stops, need to drop them by about 50mm Any ideas of what i could do, preferably without spending much money ? RRC, rear axle
  10. Mine is mechanically and electrically protected Steel hoops either side, and no power going to the switch unless the master swtich on the dash is on and the shut off on the cubby box is on
  11. My solenoids are on the drives side, behind the headlight, and the wiring goes across the top of the bulkhead and down under the tunnel to the battery Under the passengers side wing i've got the washer bottle and heater intake duct so no room in there I've then got a switch on the drivers side wing top and on the dash The reason i put the switch on the drivers side wingtop, is so that if i need to get out of the vehilce and use the external switch i don't have to cross over the (possible tought) winch rope !!! All wiring is 35mm welding earth cable
  12. A motorbike parts shop would be worth a try as they often make up leads
  13. In normal road use the bush was always being stressed due to the lift So the cranked arm removes the stress placed on the bush This will also allow the arm (and hance axle) to move further downwards
  14. Axle articulation was being limited by the bush, and the bush is permanently stressed on the road, so it's going to reduce the life I'll be fitting the new arms once the shops open so i can get some nuts and i'll post a few pics to show the affect they have on the bush
  15. I've got a 100 inch hybrid With a proper engine B) No good to you then sorry ?
  16. Mmmmm low rider B) I'll be following Mark's example and boxing in the bar, it's on the "to do list"
  17. They actually cut a round hole in sheet, unlike a twist drill which creates an egg shaped hole Also very handy if you want to open up an existing hole to a bigger size
  18. Thanks for that, very informative B) I found out when i had my chassis dipped that the holes get filled up, but just need drilling out, and i suppose threads can be re-tapped Not too concerened about overall tollerances, after all, I made the parts I'm hoping that the warping shouldn't be too much of a problem, as all the parts are made from 6mm, when my chassis was dipped, some of the 2mm brackets bent slightly, all the 6mm cage mounts were unafected though. Not heard of spin galving before, sounds intersting. I'll ask if they do it at the galving depot down the road Thanks again
  19. Thanks for the replies I gave it a try on some scrap arms i had and with a 10 degree bend, there is very little difference in length Just got to get some tidy arms and bend a pair up now
  20. Not as much as i thought It shouldn't really affect the axle too much then, just pull the diff nose up slightly The next question is how much do i bend it The arm is currently sitting at 10 degrees to the bush (unladen on flat road), so i presume i need to bend it by 10 degrees ?
  21. I'm thinking about cranking my rear trailing arms to acount for the lift and extra articulation I was wondering if anyone has had any success cranking their own arms I've got a hydraulic pipe bender and i reckon i can get it close enough to the end of the arm I am planning on welding a strip of 1" angle down the underside of the arm to strenghten it as well How much is this likely to affect the wheelbase ? and will it cause a problem ?
  22. Wow, that looks really nice B) Great pics B)
  23. Very nice B) Must be the season for winch bumper instalations, just finished mine too B)
