  1. i see he's alive via facebook! get him there?
  2. big fan of air con, would retro fit to anything if the price was right. condensor in a 90 etc goes in an extended front panel, so infront of rad, intercooler pack
  3. do a search in the tech section. recently upped the fueling on mine aong with the boost and it's ALOT better
  4. recently repaired mine as the puley had come loose resulting in injector pump timing issues etc. I used araldite to secure key, then filled the dent up with araldite and when set filed it back. All good after 2,000 miles or so.
  5. Fuel filter. few tank fulls will see the red off, but your bank balance won't like it much.
  6. I'm gonna say it! TOLD YOU SO. Every td5 fuel pump makes a noise IMO, took great care to flush the 110 tank and check over the system when i re fitted it...... anyway you got a spare! Ready to roll yet?
  7. Not bad that Les! good old dairy fittings. As i said just want to be able to do the swap and have it running.
  8. I'd like to fit a aircon pump to my 200 ti disco motor as i'd like on board air. The link in the tech archive is great http://forums.lr4x4.com/index.php?showtopic=2115&st=0&p=21637&hl=onboard%20air&fromsearch=1entry21637 I can get a pump easy enough but would like to know about the pulleys and tensioner and brackets required to fit this. Alternatively has anyone made the relavent parts required?
  9. so your saying discos and defenders have different fittings? ok i can live with that as the 90 has PAS so i can swap pumps / pipes etc
  10. wel i drive my 200 tdi auto like i stole it, it's running a Les Brook stage 2 tune!!! and i get around 30 mpg...but i don't really care as the company pays for the slippery sh!t anyway....if i could get away with petrol i'd be rocking a LS1 in there
  11. As it says, i'm gonna put my 200 tdi auto into my 90. i'd like to get it mobile asap, not road worthy but will start and drive in and out of my unit. will the transmission pipes and rad / intercooler from the disco go into the 90? will there be much messing about with the loom to take the disco engine? Anything i should change whilst its out?
  12. the wire feed is controlled from the triger on the torch so try tracing that back
  13. they are made in the midlands they leak oil from new they leak water in from new they are over priced but i still love them!
  14. just check it aint hooky! they'll check for that!
  15. kumho kl 71's cheaper than bfg mt's very quiet on the road for a mt.
  16. all td5 are fly by wire as far as i know. stick your head under neath and check if the big box is in. TD5 autos are fairly quiet untill you rev them hard. The 5 cylinder engine is a bit different and can feel strained when reved hard, maybe its that
  17. i take it you are talking about the exhaust boom? Has the previous owner removed the middle box and put a straight through pipe in??
  18. theres a 110 chassis on the bay thsts been converted to run in the rear.........
  19. i went for the full ish monty, 1.5 on the smoke screw, transforms off boost pick up. diaphram to full adjustment, approx 180 deg, max fuel as i was upping the boost. didn't touch the star...no need tbh.didn't want to delve too deep. and 5-6 turns on the turbo actuator to get more, again approx 1 - 1.1 bar boost. 1500 miles in and i love it! i always warn up and cool down my vehicles properly so i would hope the head gasket etc willl be ok. mines an auto so gets less stress than a manual but the differnce is quite noticeable, especially on launch! stick to the guide, do one bit at a time and keep a note of what you have done.
  20. fit a disco transfer box aswell maybe? dependant on final tyre size of course.
  21. My td5 90 was a "commercial" and was banned by the tip after we had words.....and a pushed under the barrier So i now have a disco 200 tdi...roll up, toot the horn and make them open the barrier and dump my, my businesses and anyone else rubbish with ease. And when my air rides fitted i'll limbo under the barrier and then just drive in
