I don't know? I'm letting the seller deal with the DVLA, who have asked for this information, it has not been on the road since 2011, below is a copy of the DVLA letter , I've covered the bit with his name and the registration number out of courtesy, he sent all the pictures except the chassis VIN, hence my original post, I have never had any problems with the V62 process before maybe they are still "working from home" ?
-
“V5 available” in the listing, but it’s been a while since it arrived, I don’t think the seller is pulling a fast one as the VIN plate is there and looks like it’s not been interfered with, but if I can’t get the V5 I’ll send it back ,

I recently bought a 1985 110 off eBay but the seller is taking his time getting the V5 to me , DVLA wanted pictures including the registration number , chassis VIN and VIN tag , the front dumb iron is a bit rusted and I can’t see any numbers, any idea how to expose the numbers? He says he’ll give me a refund if I / He can’t / don’t get the V5 ?

Tdi fuel pump questions - poss. linked to EGR/removal
92a replied to Northwards's topic in Defender Forum (1983 - 2016)
I’ve just had a 300tdi pump reconditioned and the spring/ lever bit appears on later pumps and is something to do with starting once hot (according to CJ Diesels) I think the other part is a breather and often has a rubber boot on it to keep mud etc out , -
I’m sure I saw a post on here where they used the old pulley and the new one to push the seals in ? I’m not sure if anyone changes the camshaft seal or how they’d do it?

Hi , just wanted to show how I have done this to my wolf 90 , the receiver hitch came from Safari Equip and included the slide in part and pin , I had to drill two 13mm holes so I could use the jate ring bolt positions rather than the pre drilled ones,
-
Thanks for your reply, at least I know that mine are off a 110 and need a bit letting in , Angus

Hi does anyone have access to a Wolf 90? I need to know the length of the bars that run between the front and rear roll bars and that the roof support bolts onto Item 5 in the pictures ( the ones I have came from a 110 , I believe and are 805mm between the bolt centres ) Thanks Angus / 92a

Sorry should have typed POST not LOST , Angus /92a

Hi, Thought I'd lost this here although the engine is destined for a defender , has anyone changed the bearings in a Denso 100a alternator, my £40 eBay one has a stiff spot when rotated and I'd like to change the offending bearing/bearings , Thanks Angus /92a

I have just taken the diff out and there is no sign of anything breaking up and nothing in the oil ( plenty of oil ) I guess I must of over tightened it , but I did it up by hand lying under the vehicle , hence my original question as to the correct grade or class of bolt ? I bought a 24 spline Truetrac from XCESS4x4 before Christmas so I’ll put the one I take out the back in the front for now
-
The bolt is M12
-
Diff is proper stiff now and as wheels move freely ( until you take up the slack ) I think it may well have done serious damage, and I’ve only put the flange on with a random 8.8 bolt and a spring washer but not torqued it yet 😕

Hi Everyone, had a horrible vibration on my wolf 90 as I left home ,reversed back 50 yards and jacked it up to check the propshafts, they both seemed ok, drive forward to park and heard a clunk, got out to find the front propshaft hanging down with the diff flange on the end , bolt had sheared off, it was an 8.8 , I replaced the flange when I put a D2 front prop on and guess the bolt came with the flange kit , should it 10.9 as its torqued to 100nm ?

Just found your post , great pictures and write up , Thanks for posting this

Hi Mo , great reply and I’ll in touch once I can play it a bit better, Angus

Have you got a boost gauge to see what you’re getting at the manifold? I bought a banjo off eBay 2 bar guage and ran a pipe through the vent , my 200tdi has 20psi but my 300tdi only has just over 1 bar both on the same long hill
-
If it’s been someone’s off-roader I’d be more worried whether the chassis is full of mud and rotting away from the inside than those holes ? At least it’s not just been resprayed over a multitude of sins I suppose, but there’s lots for sale and it’s worth looking for the right one for you

Ask Gwyn Lewis, the only thing I could find gives the PCD but not the actual position of the holes ( from a Google search )

300 Tdi Defender 90 - eating auxillary belts
92a replied to jwhitton's topic in Defender Forum (1983 - 2016)
Did you check the two pumps side by side before you fitted them? I would ask in the “wanted” section for a genuine one and least try it to see if this solves the problem, not sure it the tensioner can fail to seat or not ? -

Might be the plastic hub cap? With alloy wheels the “Land Rover “centre caps don’t often fit in the wheels (drum brake axles ) but you may have wheel spacers fitted ? -
I thought Daan had some wheels done for the hybrid fairly recently?

Great write up , good to see you finding ways to get on with your project -
Noticed that this series one had a modified hand brake , looks good but not sure if it would pass a VOSA road side inspection or an MOT ?
