I recently bought a new 10 spline Eaton Truetrac from Island 4x4 and got Nige at Xcess4x4 to build it up for me and I am very happy with it , I had a Detroit locker before and it was an awful thing , once it had broken the short half shaft it was actually better, I part exchanged it when I got my Truetrac ,

I have had two series speedos repaired by Speedograph Richfield, both have been perfect ever since , They can preserve the mileage if you wish and it is a fixed price and fast service, nothing to do with them , but happy with the service I received received -

We put 300tdi (24 spline) axles under a 1985 90 a few years back , don’t just scrap the old axle , 10 spline stuff is getting harder to find, -

Yes , They will fit on (with the correct hockey sticks ) -
I’ve got one of Brittanica restoration”s clutch forks in my LT77 and it seems good quality and well designed , I only do 5k miles a year so I am expecting it to last for a long time ,

They have a helper spring and there's a thread in the end of the shaft you can put a grease nipple in , I have had a couple of "used nearly new" ones off Ashcrofts but that was a while ago -

I have used Bearmach ones recently and they have been ok , left them hanging up in a warm room before use to help the fitter, ( and had a spare screen just in case )

10mm (just put one on a drill bit) If you only need one of the steel fittings PM me and I'll post you one ?

If that’s all that’s been damaged you might be able to get an engine loom from Autosparks , mine did something similar and melted the red and white wire into the main loom above the fuse box, you may have been lucky

I think the threads are the same, but the actual bolts are different, one has a much smaller hole and a filter, you are right that it might be difficult to get the pipes round the wrong way though,

Are you sure you have the banjo bolts in the right places , one has a small hole and filter and goes in the back of the pump the one with the bigger holes goes in the top ?

One I around not “on”

Thanks for the replies and advice, I rebuilt one of the ones I had on and it’s on and fits , may well have been defender one , Regards Angus

Thanks for the information about the casting marks , I had a similar issue when I saw the wolf axle I had bought had the same number on the end of half shaft as a 10 spline early discovery one, luckily when I pulled them out, the wolf one was 24 spline, guess I will have to build up one hub and see if the brake disc is in the middle of the calliper , might not be discovery ones anyway ?

Hi does anyone know if the 10 spline defender hubs (axles are actually from a ninety) and the hubs of a 10 spline discovery are the same ? I had a front wheel bearing seize and it's spun the race in the hub and the ones I have to hand look the same but probably came off a 10 spline 200 tdi discovery ? They all have HTC 1236 on them, Thanks Angus

Surely this part number has been superseded, are military ones are the same ? I’ve got a set of complete well used lift handle doors if your really stuck ( and two sets of locks but they might be pattern parts )

I’ve got the Gwynn Lewis ones and really like them, Well worth the time it takes to fit them , some of the anti-spray mud flap off lorries on the bits not covered?

I just carry a roll of the tube behind the seats (with a fan belt ) and change all three pipes if one leaks , costs almost nothing and could be done every time you change the fuel filter , (I bought a genuine one recently and that still had the braided rubber pipes)

I wonder if only 110s had the M in the vin? My white 90 used to say estate on the V5 but the 7th letter is B? -
Thanks, any idea what thread it should be ? I have never had anything to do with a V8 before

Hi , I’ve gone back and stuck a pencil in the hole , I put a cable tie in the hole and it went right into the block , the pencil seems to go through the outer cover them stop so I wondered if there’s a thread in there?
