Shackleton
Saw this and thought at the current bid the crate of drills or the vices alone are worth the money. Interesting looking machine, had to share. Edited November 13, 2018 by Shackleton

FridgeFreezer
Sod the drill, the hydraulic press for 99p is a monster bargain! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/292814648308 Dodgy on/off switch shouldn't be a hard fix.

At least I could use a block and tackle to lift it off a dolly 🙄 Will
steve200TDi
We have a drill press like that at work. Very useful! Steve
Cynic-al
They call it a radial arm drill, a lot of the toolmakers I use still have them for deep cooling channels, lifting holes as the machining centres can't work with such long drills and they're all hugely over engineered so never need replacing. I'm like everyone else those, nowhere to put it
Shackleton
Radial arm! Noted. Lovely thing. Just glad I'm not in a position to go after it. I'd take an arm off for the crate of accessories frankly, still haven't gotten an drills for my Denbigh pillar. Then again I haven't bought a motor for it either 😄
steve b
I have one of those , they are a great bit of kit for a small Radial arm drill , morse taper 3 , the table lifts and has tee slots top and sides and a good range of speeds , forward and reverse . Mine cost £25 back in the mid 80's . I also picked up a quick clamp machine vice with a max throat of 300mm which has been bolted to it ever since . I do like old machinery , it's bomb proof . cheers Steve b
Shackleton
Speaking of which, there's a Denbigh No.1 for grabs right now, they don't come up that often. Built like a brickhouse and with good features. It has it's original wobbly mesh guard which dates it 1957 or younger. They were made into the '70's. Denbigh No.1 auction
Shackleton
£78 for that ☝🏼 in the end. You couldn't buy a bench top budget brand with a wander-chuck for that. Also less than half what I paid for mine. Typical.

PiperKerman
I see it's been a while, but I wanted to chime in. That's an interesting-looking drill. I can see why the current bid is so high - a crate of drills or the vices alone could be worth a lot! It's always cool to come across unique industrial machines like this
