FTC3271 24 spline long half shaft

I also find a complete axle case for that part number, long half shaft would be FTC3271.

Edit, just found the mistake: the topic title has the correct number, the first post says FTC3721. 😉 I have an axle from an RRC that I could strip, but not close enough to Andorra to get it there by tomorrow...

Thanks escape, further dismantling reveals I need a short half shaft !

Going to muddle on and see if I can order one tomorrow if nobody has one locally.

Mo

A short shaft would be FTC3270. I have a new one on the shelf...

Thanks Dave, I have 2 en route now, one from the UK and one from Belgium.

My thanks to all who have offered advice and assistance.

I'm taking a few days to chill with glorious weather and scenery and great company rather than risk continuing and breaking the other half shaft.

Attached is the view from my chair 😁

Nice place to wait

Of course if it was a 110, it wouldn't have broken a half shaft

Great! Now you can continue.

It would be helpful to know how you, with Filip's help, got the part. I alway wonder what I would do if I got really stuck with a broken bit that I couldn't fix. So far it hasn't happened...

Edit: the splines look shorter at the diff end

I'm guessing the spline length is just a brand difference. There is quite some margin, it all depends on the machining.

As for delivery times, Belgian post has some Lotus parts for me that have been in Belgium since the 17th of August but they still can't or wont give a delivery date!
For Spain I was told 3 working days, which sounded reasonable, but it ended up being 4.5 days...

Hmm, from the UK I guess. I imagine that some people would think there is a conspiracy to deliberately delay.

Yes, from UK but it's just the incompetence of Bpost. If DHL or DPD are on the job, everything goes smoothly, full payment in advance and at most it takes one day longer than before. And they're cheaper as well, so I'm definitely not put off buying from UK, just need to make sure shipping is handled by a proper company.
