muddy
I need to replace this hose from my snorkel to air box (defender 300tdi) I’m pretty sure I fitted this around ten years ago and it does away with the water trap but I cannot remember for the life of me where it came from. It’s approximately 3” diameter and ends and 640mm in length. I’m reluctant to buy 6m of wyrem hose at the price it is. Also not really keen on jeffs recent suggestion of flexible exhaust pipe ( I can see the slashed finger ends and smell the TCP already) I also need to replace this 40mm ~180 psi stainless 1/8 bsp bottom entry gauge I seem to recall it was pretty cheap from a gauge supplier online with so much choice it took about 3 days to make my mind up however I have googled and googled and again cannot find them, also can find any old confirmation emails for a clue! All the ones I can find now are about £30 one postage is on and that just seems abit dear! Any suggestions on where to find the above gratefully received! Thanks in advance….. Bowie69
I think the top one is 2.5NAD intake hose..... cue everyone shooting me down, but think that was what I used on my Lightweight connected to a 2.5 petrol air box.
miketomcat
I'm fairly sure Bowie is correct, is certainly series era. Mike
ThreePointFive
I had this exact problem with hose, Wyrem was only available in 30m lengths.... If you want to go halves on 6m (unsure if that leaves you with too little, or if you only need the 640mm)....

I have one more place to try tomorrow hopefully but otherwise I would be interested, what Dia and length do you need?

And from the wing to the filter (1m ish). 3 meters would be enough to make sure. I think Stephen's give you a better offer though, go with that! muddy
Just to conclude this post…. firstly thankyou @Stellaghost for the generous offer although I think that’s a little too good for this application. I sourced a new gauge from these guys via eBay virtually identical to the original and at a very reasonable price I have also got 10m (don’t ask!) of 80mm original style ducting, this is a slide fit over the air box and snorkel connector so should seal nicely with a good clip. If anyone would like any It’s £15 per m posted.
ThreePointFive
That hose looks good. The biggest problem I've had is the steel wire separating from the rubber inside the hose, or tearing the hose open the minute you trim it, you can see that's not the case from how it's holding together in the photos. Popular Post muddy
Further to add… with some sticky tape, safety scissors, an adult to wield the stanly knife and tell you not to sniff the magic glue it would appear possible to remove the old hose ends, warm in a banmoree and a Lucas bottle seems the right size to stretch the end so it can be screwed onto the new hose. you will need a large vocabulary of swear words to complete this task successfully.

Perhaps there should be an archive of these started, like the Technical archive, for the benefit of newcomers.

That's brilliant! This hose is ESR 184, camel trophy 200tdi's need x2 usually for the hose that pops through the bonnet for the snorkel. They're like rocking horse poop to find and when they do They're not cheap. I was lucky enough to buy a box of old stock clearance when Mantec closed its doors back in 2019. A lot of these hoses have gone to refurb camel snorkels. Personally I like your idea! These do wear out and your idea is much more "sustainable". 😀
