There are lots of custom exhaust shops about..... just need to google.

Just try and find examples of their work before choosing them. I've seen some awful 'custom' ones in recent years. Quite a few have a go heros who really should put down the torch

Chuck in a Britpart mild steel one to get it running, and get a nice stainless one made later?

^ this, will probably be cheaper than the alternatives.

Once it's running drive it to a fabricator of exhausts so you can have one made properly.

Yes, just get a Britpart one from island 4x4. Surprised to find that the 300tdi exhaust I bought a few years ago had mandrel bends too.

Will get the moving on.

Thanks, everyone.

I spoke to Revival this morning, following some emails.  They have a couple of local exhaust fabricators that they used for some Escorts that apparently did a nice job, so they are going to get estimates.  I emailed JPExhausts and they replied back about needing a template.  They could use my old exhaust for that.  I also enquirer about having them add the flexible section to a Demand down pipe, so I’ll see what they say.

Having a temporary mild steel exhaust isn’t prohibitively expensive, but it does increase the chance of shell or chassis paint damage underneath while being removed for replacement, so I’d rather do it right first time.  They want to get the car running and mechanically complete before starting the interior, but I can’t see a problem with them get started on refurbishing the seats and headlining to keep momentum while an exhaust solution is worked on.
