white90
The ones I have been supplied are far to long, Anyone have any leads on getting a couple of 3/4 UNF bolts approx 6" long must be HT
smo
Personally i use screwfix for all my bolts, if they dont have it in stock they will order it in specially.
Steve Hiatt
Interesting you should say that about Screwfix. Whilst I'm undecided, my helper swears the few nuts and bolts that we have had from them have been pisspoor, shear more easily and strip threads in the nuts at lower torque. Personally I would hope a grade of bolt is a grade, end of.
Hybrid_From_Hell
TC Ring Margnor Guildford - 01483 536800 Ask them to shove on one side for me - I can collect and shove in the post to you if they have them 8.8T is HT - then there is 10.8 and 12.9 these normally are allen bolts ? All should be stamped accordingly Nige

white90
51/2 would be just too short if I use misalignment spacers thanks for looking
Bull Bar Cowboy
Just cut the long bolts to the correct length ............... a standard HSS hacksaw blade will make short work of an HT bolt. Be sure to chamfer the end of the thread on a bench grinder (or run a nut along it before you cut) and you are good to go........... white90
The threaded section isn't long enough though Ian
Guest WALFY
When I needed some bolts with a longer threaded section the place I got them from run a die down over them to extend the threaded section. Tony if you go to Mart road Ind estate there's a small family run business. Paul and Mick Arnold. Although I think Mick has retired now. They do all sorts of fabrication and supply all sorts of nuts and bolts, steel and any other odds and sods I need when I'm down Minehead way. Their yard is round the corner from David's bus yard on the estate. I don't have their phone number but I'm sure David has.
Mark90
G R Fasteners in Avonmouth have never failed with any of my nut/bolt requirements. Not sure about mail order, but if they have what you want I can collect (I almost pass them every day) and post if required.

Pete Attryde
I have used Namrick for bolts in the past. Good, fast service and excellent customer service. I know the linked page doesn't show 3/4" they do state that they do other sizes above the the ones listed.

Les Henson
I don't think Screwfix do HT stuff - just the usual plastic ones. I use Wessex fastners for specialist bolts - they are cheap and very helpful. Diesel-Jim lurks in there as well. Tony - if you want me to get you them here in the toilet of Wiltshire - let me know the specs and I can get them off to you this week (before you drop that tree on your head and suffer no damage ) Les. mike4444244
How HT do you want? if its 8.8 then all the screwfix stuff is that grade, They don't do anything higher except a few sizes of socket cap which are 12.9, never had a problem with any of it, I use Namrick for Imperial stuff, and my local place in Liverpool for anything weird...
