Anderzander
I'm thinking about getting these clamps to mount my hi-lift to the rear bulk head in my 90... has anyone any experience with them? I think I prefer the idea of them to the clamp on set ups, they seem simpler and being rubber mounted seems like it might be better too. Milemarker Type S
Yes I have a number of them in various sizes and they are very good- Mine secure a sledge hammer/spade/wrecking bar/half shaft removal tool etc etc in the rear of my challenge 90 and they are surprisingly strong. I get mine from SimonR at X-eng (he does a forum discount as well )
BogMonster
I've used them but with heavy things they do allow some movement and therefore some rattles, if that sort of thing annoys you
FridgeFreezer
Yep - they're really handy.

freeagent
Yep, as used to hold a shovel onto the side of my roofrack... made it all around Morocco without falling off...
SteveG
I would think quick fists would be a pain for a Hi-Lift, as you'd have to prize open each one to push Hi-Lift into them. Fine for taking off, but a pain to put back on. I used some M12 bolts, large washers and some wingnuts. Quick and easy to take off/put on and bolts make it easy to slide Hi-Lift on to... Used quick fists for spade though.. Steve
dollythelw
they actually work out well for a Hi Lift Steve - getting the jack on takes about 5 seconds and it stays put regardless of abuse, we've also found them to be impervious to mud build up I think it depends where you want to mount the jack and in what orientation though
TJ101
Same here, work well,, Have about a dozen, fixing various things, extinguisher, spade, Mag light etc
roguevogue
I use quick fists to secure my shovel and fire extinguisher, I use a pair of big ones for the extinguisher on the bonnet and that has survived three rolls, one of which was end over, was about the only thing that stayed attached. Anderzander
Thanks for all the feedback its really helpful Having seen Steve's set up in the back I'm tempted to put the jack there, closer to the floor and easier to mount, rather than on the back of the bulkhead... Hmmm.... decisions decisions Also thanks for the tip that SimonR has some - I'd rather put money in the communities pockets.
