disco_al
got a mate in the trade who buys and breaks disco's and he's on the lookout for a 200 prop and flange to eliminate this problem once and for all.
teabag
got a mate in the trade who buys and breaks disco's and he's on the lookout for a 200 prop and flange to eliminate this problem once and for all. Also tell him that the 300series V8's 96 onwards don't have donuts.
Niamh
What does one need to change at the diff end to eliminate the doughnut? Niamh

Pete Attryde
And then just bolt in STC4858 instead I take it? If thats the part number for the 200TDi diff flange the yes, however you may need a spacer as there is a couple of different length flanges. Pete. MrKev
Mine's not in too dissimilar a condition - and it's only been on there less than 8 months. Was I being too rough with it perhaps? Ok, it was a **itpart one, but even so, about 3-4k miles tops, and it's knackered. How much life should I expect from a GKN or similar OEM one? PaulN
How much life should I expect from a GKN or similar OEM one? Mine's OEM and its been on for 32,000 miles and I noticed a half inch split just the other day so keeping it in mind - hope that helps! M&S
Mine is still the original and looks fine. It's done 140,000 miles. Kev, unless something else is wrong I'd be getting back in touch with your supplier...
MrKev
Yeah. I'll be putting a GKN one on tonight. I don't even have a lift - if anything I've got a 20mm 'sag' (due to age!)

That's the later V8 flange kit. So is that all one needs to order? Be a bit of a pain to strip everything down and find one is missing parts for rebuilding. Niamh I don't know to be honest, I did mine 3 or 4 years ago and I can't remember which flange I got. but I had to make a spacer for it all to work. Pete.
