2drdan
Hi all, I have got the four amigos up and despite the fact that I will eventually be going for a porny special on the ecu (Td5 Disco II) I reckon it'd be handy to sort out the fault now as I definately don't have TC anymore so then by my reckoning I don't have ABS either.!? I have done some research and had settled on the idea of Nanocom but cannot seem to find it for sale either in the mag or on-line. Bearmach list it as on their stock but they now do the hawkeye as well/instead ......does anyone know where i can get it and/or have an opinion on the merits of either..? Cheers, Phil. Anderzander
From what I can gather Nanocom were developing an improved version - but it went way way over the date it was due to be released and they stopped updating their web site and stopped replying to emails ..... so it kind of looks like they have gone now. The biggest thing that puts me off Hawkeye is that you have to pay again to unlock other vehicle types..
Jake Lloyd
Hawkeye is much better than the Nanocom unit. It works with all LR's from Td5 Defenders, P38 RR, D3, L322 and Sport RR's Yes you have to pay for the unlock code for each vehicle (if you have more than one to play with) or if you ran a garage you can buy a completely unlocked version with all the cables Much cheaper than T4
Lara
As long as you don't get fooled into buying a "Rovacom" like I did!!! Biggest heap of badly made and hopelessly supported S--T I have ever paid money for!!! I would rather pay 500 quid for a pair of fluffy dice than give them money again!! Mark
I am kind of interested to see what people recommend then in place of nanocom, as I also hadn't realised they were no longer available. How does Hawkeye compare? Cheers Mark
2drdan
Cheers for the replies, I guess it's going to be Hawkeye then in this price bracket..... Phil.
Retroanaconda
I see they charge several hundred pounds for an unlock code to read a different vehicle That seems absurd, must be ways around that surely...?
simonr
I have a Nanocom which is surplus to requirements if someone wants it? I bought RovaCom instead. Si
nicks90
I see they charge several hundred pounds for an unlock code to read a different vehicle That seems absurd, must be ways around that surely...? cough cough..... not that i in any way would endorse such a thing...... but you could form a 'hawkeye collective' between several people who own one with different vehicles and cough cough, share the codes
G_Cam
cough cough..... not that i in any way would endorse such a thing...... but you could form a 'hawkeye collective' between several people who own one with different vehicles and cough cough, share the codes Are they not 'device specific' codes? If anyone wants to send me a D3 code I can test it on my machine that is set up for a D2
gazelle
Just looked at the website and Nanocom have now updated the website announcing the "Nanocom Evolution". Not much info, but some activity all the same.
