Engine block colour

Good day. I'm looking for the original color code for engine block in a Series IIA, can you please help me? it's for a friend of mine who is restoring it.......

I'm not sure for 2A's but I can add that the military had light green blocks and my series 3 block is a red primer colour.

IIRC the red coloured blocks were the 5 main bearing blocks, 3 bearing where the lovely pale green colour.

As I said above, I think the red was 5 main bearing engines, and that was ~82/3 IIRC.

Wow, you really are a Land Rover knowledge bible. You have just finish a two years discussion with a pair of friends of mine y only one day, a complete record for a peacemaker...

Do you know if one 19.50's can is just enough for a complete engine block? it use 3 layers and one prime, right (I don't remember where I read it)?

I've got a 5litre can! got on ebay, rusty as, about a hundred years old-looking, needed a good stir, it,s very pale green, the sort of green you wouldn't use ANYWHERE!! apart from somewhere you would hardly ever look! saying that it probably suits an engine better than any other surface! here is the colour, I painted the side of my trailer. I've just painted a block and used 2 coats with no primer. The main thing is to make sure the block is as clean and grease free as possible.
