TJN
Large site suitable for all levels of experience - as challenging as you wish to make it. Any level of off roader will enjoy this military site. Boundary points will be described by marshals on the day and may be barrier taped - please do not cross these. Care does need to be taken in some areas as sand can be very soft and deceptively difficult to drive, likewise water may disguise sinking sand. If in doubt walk it first. We recommend vehicles have suitable recovery points, front and rear. As with all our events individuals should bring their own recovery gear. Great Family day out with good visibility for spectators. £20 for the day and you can now Join Shire Land Rover club on the day.

Retroanaconda
Just up the road from Hogmoor, so I'd imagine the geography is very similar. I'm going to try and get the day off work for this as I've not been there before
jcwcooper
Steve not been myself but from videos and photos on a couple of other clubs sites it looks good! Dave
MrKev
Bit smaller than Hogmoor, but I kinda like it. It'll be quite stcky in places I should think. I'll hopefully be there. Kev

Some very deceptive water"holes" and some good wooded areas.

nino
Do you need to be a member or can you just turn up pay and play? If you need to join how much will that cost?
jcwcooper
You need to be a member. Membership is £15 a year and I believe you can turn up on the day and join the club these days. HTH Dave.

nino
Yea I left with a empty wallet at the tv4x4 day Later in the day some bits got even worse, I had to wait for help as my alternator went just after lunch so couldn't self recover. v8bertha
Yeah, good day out! The 110 wouldn't start this morning so had to take the baby Camel instead. Only got stuck once... or was it twice... errr, ok, maybe it was 3 times And even with all the bumping around 6 month old Izzy slept through everything! sj_4x4
Excellent day out, spend most of it winching people out ;-) thanks to the organizers.
jcwcooper
I had a great day out but I didnt get any pictures Cant wait to visit the site again! Dave.
LiamC
We also had a great day. My radiator bleed cap gave up at the end of the day. Managed to get home fine by simply leaving the header tank cap off running the cooling system unpressurised. I think a brass/more substantial replacement cap is in order. LiamC
Do you mean the big one on top of the rad? Get a nice bling Aluminium one from X-eng Yes thats the one. I have actually just ordered a brass one off the web but the x-eng offering does look rather smart.
MrKev
Cool. I like the horse wash at the end - which ford was it? @LiamC - the X-Eng one is quite nice as it is very 'undo-able' I have Ross' big splish from another angle: Kev
landroversforever
The X-Eng one can be undone with the side of the pliers on a leatherman type tool EDIT: the green RED winches semi-trayback... is that T1g-Up's old truck?
