what is this prop called/from is it usual ?

Recommended Posts

Some LRs do indeed use a prop with one UJ (on the TC side) and a rubber donut thingy on the diff side.

I know this is standard fitment on all RRC and Disco 300Tdi and on the P38a 2.5DSE automatic (the manual has a normal prop).

The donutcan become stressed of the car is lifted, otherwise no problems. If you need to replace it, it's always a good idea to replace the inner bearing as well, as this aligns the prop and bad alignement will cause the donut to wear very quickly.

Edited: my mistake, the picture took some time to load, you seem to have yet another system...
