simonr
Tracker would be my guess. Can you post a photo of it's insides? Si
Guest
If it is a 'Tracker' tracker it must be a very old one as mine is about 1/5 of that size. Jason.

kiwi_110
We are talking about Colombia right? Please don't take offence Carlos but I reckon as soon as that thing senses large quantities of illegal substances being loaded in the back, it imobilises the truck and calls the feds... Buzza
Whats the number under the barcode ? Steve
CwazyWabbit
The "Restricted to Colombia" is likely to be due to a radio frequency in use, which would also tie in with the idea of it being a tracker (or maybe an alarm if the fobs are radio) ..... as does the location, seperate battery and it being badly wrapped in a plastic bag .... carlosbeldia
OK, I talked to the former owner and he told me that's a LR device for UN Specs cars that tracks the car and is able to shut off the car remotely. This car was the personal car of a german nun that used to deal with people in danger due to our internal problems with guerrilla, it was donated by an austrian organization called Miva. The man in charge who sold it to me told me there is no exchange part for this, it's hidden from other people due to security reasons (my car was supposed to be armored), serial number is only for car owner, it's not a LR part number. The bag is made of kind of a really sticky silicone and it weight almost nothing. Solved mistery, jejejeje. The bad thing is this was actually activated (part of an annual security package), so I loose the security device.....
carlosbeldia
Here we don't have feds, and with so vicious procedence of the car, maybe the device would sniffed all the coke, jejejejeje....

Is there anything to stop you reinstalling the device (perhaps in a different, secret location) and getting it reactivated?
