carlosbeldia
There is a car posted for sale here in Colombia that have 2 side doors in the right side and 1 side door in the driver's side (left). He swears this came original from UK this way.... Is that true or is just a homemade thing?
carlosbeldia
This is the car... https://html4.m.olx.com.co/espetacular-land-rover-ingles-defender-110-version-safari-iid-862134166?pos=2&location=cartagenadeindias.olx.com.co
David Sparkes
Irritatingly I recall recently seeing pictures of a similar arrangement. That vehicle was dark green, and there were some explanatory comments, but I can't recall in which forum I saw them!! The wheels on that look interesting, almost as if the rim has been braced to the nave plate forming the centre of the wheel. Regards. Bowie69
Think it was this one, think it was fridge.... But shoot me if not
carlosbeldia
So no trace of any original setup coming this way?

BrainH
Compared to some of the other British Leyland's mash ups in the 80's this one is quite practical.
FridgeFreezer
My 109 may resemble that Jonny Cash song but it does have the same number of doors each side! Green 109 might be SteveB's but that too has the regular number of doors, but double the wipers...
steve b
...a bit more faded now , but yeah that's mine . ............and waaay back when I hit 21 my Mum got a song on local radio for me to celebrate my 21st Jonny Cash , One bit at a time It seems you know me pretty well Jon Yeeehah Steveb
Anderzander
I like that Steve b - though the wipers do make me feel like I'm seeing double (or is that ddoouubbllee?)
steve b
Thanks Anderzander , Funnily enough so do I . ....there is a reason there are four wipers can you spot it ? cheers Steveb
Anderzander
I give in ?
steve b
The body is 6.5" wider than a std series , effectively making it the same outside width as an RRC , normally removing the screen centre bar can be covered with one extra wiper . I never bash my elbow on the door . Sorry Carlos , getting a bit adrift here , your pics are certainly interesting as there are significant differences between the two sides in terms of how one would build it cheers Steveb
Anderzander
Ahh - I thought you'd done a roof chop - not widened it :-). Do you have a build thread? Back on topic - what are the benefits of having one less door, above those you could get by keeping it closed but having the versatility to open it if you wanted to? steve b
No , I haven't got around to a build thread , partly because all the pic's I did take during the build are prints from 35mm . I do have a scanner now so maybe will do one sometime . Cheers Steveb
daslandroverman
Looks interesting, and very 80's, when more wipers were better!!!
Bowie69
Is that wheel weights on the inside of that passenger front rim?
