  1. I use fabsil - it works well and is very easy to apply. Just Make sure the hood is clean and dry, then apply it with a cloth or sponge.
  2. You can get fibre cement cladding boards … but that is not that much of a cheap option either. 🤔
  3. I’m ready with a Horlicks …. 🍿
  4. Link 3 and 5, which are under the seat, connect to the fuel relay and ignition respectively - so it does seem like you have some modifications… ? Fuse 28 on the panel would go to the air con blower … which I’m guessing the Defender doesn’t have? If so then it was empty spot that someone has perhaps used to take a feed from ? 28 would go to this connector through a brown and purple wire https://www.lrworkshop.com/connectors/defender-2002my/C0786 Then from the connector TSD shared through a brown wire https://www.lrworkshop.com/connectors/defender-2002my/C0153
  5. I should know - but what happened to your 1UZ ?
  6. ahhh - now I see it ! What engine does that one fit then?
  7. I can’t see the picture !!?!
  8. So pleased you shared this build with us - it’s been a hell of a ride. Your skills remained astonishing throughout. Incredible.
  9. I think it’s largely because they will have to pay for the showroom charges - and I guess no one was confused by the brand / product information as it was ?
  10. The bigger storm has been the dealers. They hate it.
  11. Everyone who has read this thread is delighted for you 😊 This is great to see and I hope you love it to bits.
  12. Apparently not - as if you unplug them everything’s fine. It’s just for a convenience - but for me it will be one of those small things that makes a disproportionate improvement.
  13. On the Td5 you can disable the interior alarm sensor by locking it with a key / but my dog spends so much time in there I’d rather use the fob. It has one of those ultrasonic sensors : With 3 wires - two to the ECU and one to earth. If I want to pop a switch in there to be able to disable/enable it, anyone have any idea where I should put it?
  14. When I think of Jaguar being good - it seems to me that their peak was around the D type and E type - the short production XKSS was sublime. I liked the Mk2’s and Mk9’s - but they were obviously luxury cars compared to the D and E type, and could almost have been made by another company. Then I liked the XJ coupe’s - like the one Harry Metcalfe has just finished sorting. A nice combination of speed and class. After that they didn’t seem to make anything I was interested in. Though most brands I find that way. The new XK cars looked to be finding their way again - but I think my interest in new cars had gone by that point.
  15. You can see from that that they will partition them - Discovery and Defender will be separate brands, either in bolt on show rooms like BMW and Minis or some cheaper partitioning method.
  16. It wouldn’t be for me ! some (probably) daft ideas: Could you put a stool there, have just your head and shoulders out with your feet on the gearbox tunnel? Could you fit a shooting hatch in the back ?
  17. After my BFG’s were slashed I rather like the idea of a tougher sidewall !
  18. Fantastic news !! I’m so pleased for you. Onwards and upwards.
