  1. Haha will do, mite make a start stripping the axles this weekend as i am off for a week next week
  2. When we first fitted our kit everything worked ok then after about a week the relay started to give us problems so we replaced the relay for the same type of relay and it's been fine for the past 6 months
  3. Made a list up yesterday for everything we need for the 2A to make it a rolling chassis when the new chassis arrives, mite have a drive over to paddocks for the bits in the week
  4. Refitted the floor panels back in today so when the new 2A chassis comes I can move the 90 out of the garage to make way for the new chassis and send the 90 in to have the pump and injectors looked at when I can afford it but shouldn't be too long though
  5. Just remembered i need to send my throw away camera in to be developed of the 2a being stripped and to buy a couple more for when the 2a is being rebuilt
  6. New chassis should be here in a few week so as i am off for a week in a weeks time i will start doing the axles ready for when it comes, can't wait
  7. Yeah its getting fuel i just wasn't sure it it should need a spacer or not and with the engine i bought originally not fitted with the space and then i read up some had them some didn't i just thought i would try it thinking it was the spacer needed but its looking like its the FIP now so when i can afford it i will have to get it sorted
  8. std springs and plus 2" shocks and or double cranked trailing arms
  9. The engine with the original pump fitted didn't have the spacer fitted but had loads of silicon round the mating faces and because of the problem i thought maybe it should have a spacer which is what other's have said but both pumps run with or without the spacer fitted and both levers on each pump looks the same so atm the old lift pump is fitted without the spacer but has this problem where the governor comes in before the linkage on the FIP hits the stop on the pump
  10. No joy, refitted the old lift pump, removed the micro filter banjo bolt from the injection pump but found you can't remove it from the banjo bolt so had to refit it, so i have come to the conclusion my injection pump is naff, so i have adjusted the stop screw on the pedal for now so i have full rev's knowing the governor won't come in till i can afford to get the pump and injectors done
  11. Just thinking ahead if refitting the untested lift pump doesn't work has anyone removed the micro filter from the fuel line banjo bolt if so how does it come out
  12. Yeah it was to pack the hose clip but will sort it over the weekend
  13. When i first bought the Def 200 converted 90 the intercooler looked like it was used for air riffle shooting practice and at the time I had a spare 300 intercooler so i fitted it using the 200 hosing then when i bought the Disco engine the red 200 intercooler came with it so i fitted it
  14. Yeah when i first bought the 90 it had a moded 2.5td cowling to suit the Def 200 and i bined it the first time i had to remove the engine, never had a problem without it and i have no intentions of fitting one now as the fan is more central to the rad than it is on the Def 200 engine
  15. Cheer's yeah i was a bit disappointed that the new disco silicon rad hoses wouldn't fit had to re- use the Def rubber top hose and Conley up a bottom hose with what i had and what came with the engine but i will look out for something in silicon that I could use
  16. Hi guys Just thought i would post a few pic's of the newly installed disco engine into my 90
  17. Ok i will refit the old pump just incase the new one is faulty and see what happens, if not it looks like i may have inherited a problem
  18. Yeah i had run out of clips to finish it off but it is on tight The Bearmach lift pump i bought with part number BR3256R i don't no what landy part number it aquat's to but just thought all 200tdi lift pumps were all the same but i wanted a Bearmach one and ordered this one, what do you think
  19. How do you mean as it was a while between removing / refitting / replacing stuff so yes i could have quite easily fitted the pipes the wrong way round
  20. I have compared the setup with the old engine and they are both set the same, when i started the engine up for the first time last week it was slightly idling faster then the old engine was so i adjusted the idle screw back a tad and it idles nice now. I have decided to fit the old lift pump as i replaced the lift pump as a matter of course and never here'd the engine run before hand so I will give this ago and see
  21. Sorry mo I never gave it a thought I will post some tomorrow before I go to work
  22. Right i fitted the spacer and the engine ran the same as it did without the spacer fitted but whilst i was scratching my head wondering what it is i noticed the old lift pump that i thought i had thrown on the bench and noticed it look different to the new bearmach pump I had fitted so I am just wondering if it would make a difference but I need to find the paperwork first but would it give this problem
  23. TBH i am not entirely sure myself as i replace the lift pump as a matter of course whilst replacing all the gaskets and seals after buying the engine so i don't know how it ran before i bought it, i have read up in the Haynes bible that some engines had them some didn't and son goes on the landy forum on FB and asked the ? on there and immediately everyone was saying you need a spacer so i will fit it and see
