  2. Unfortunately not, too busy trying to create space in my garage to get milling and shaping machine in I have been looking at crane scales so I can do it at home, p!enty on eBay and seem reasonably priced if you don't want the remote set up, nearly a £100 difference, was thinking of crane scales as might come in handy for calculating future modifications Regards Stephen
  3. Must echo what @FridgeFreezer said no abuse on here for a build thread, building and fabrication of any type is accepted, any criticism is always constructive and usually to suggest a better or easier route, it's not all die hard rivet counting landrover, look at @FridgeFreezer 109 build thread using volvo portal axles The top and the bottom of it is we love build threads no matter how diverse they are Regards Stephen

  14. I'm assuming Lexus v8 is the easier route Regards Stephen
  15. Your a bit out of touch, nothing even close to £400 for an engine, you were very fortunate Regards Stephen
  16. One thing I forgot to add with the new winch bumper, I made it to the original winch bumper mountings so I can swap back to original set up very quickly. This is relevant because I was going to cut off original mounting set up and mount new bumper 2" further in to give a better approach angle for overhangs ! !! But I figured 90 degree approach should be enough....... Regards Stephen
  17. Might have to go with a good old fashioned 3.5 carb as I half know where I'm at with that and anybody with knowledge for assistance with wiring is around 300 miles away, very inconsiderate of you all to live so far away.........lol Regards Stephen
  18. Thanks for the info so far There's a part of me wished I never asked.......... Regards Stephen
  19. I take it a v8 to lt77 bell housing would do the job part no HRC1288 Regards Stephen
  20. Would someone mind explaining the differences, pro's and cons of Thor and gems engines and any other variant I might of missed, also which one is easier to mate up to an lt77,( not a massive issue, pretty sure I could make something either way) also reliability. Thanks regards Stephen
  21. Now fitted winch does not hold the same amount of rope as the 8274, but then it is 13mm rope, however once a put the 8274 onto the rear this rope will be comming off to go back on the 8274 and rear winch rope which is 10mm should all go on the Rhino winch Winch wouldn't work remotely at first, remotes were lighting up and moving winch for about 4 seconds then stopping, new batteries and now working fine Regards Stephen regards Stephen
  22. I wouldn't worry too much, the 8274 is going to be mounted on to the rear.... Regards Stephen
  23. Forgot to add, the new winch bumper and Rhino winch have come in 29kg lighter than the original bumper and 8274, not a bad little saving Regards Stephen
