  3. @Deranged oops wrong one sorry @De Ranged I made one of these a few years ago for lifting my lathe and milling machine, it is also adjustable height Regards Stephen

  5. Heavy duty !!! I like it... Regards Stephen
  6. Unfortunately the big mog nut only holds the wheel hub on, the bearing preload is set using the correct gasket when putting portal box castings back together Regards Stephen
  7. Whatever you decide to do the hubs will need to be super tight as the cast iron hubs will be sacrificial if there is any movement, also I wouldn't be drilling too many holes in the cast hub as it may weaken it, I ended up making steel hubs because I was not happy with the Landrover cast ones, but that was because I was going to weld them As it stands at the moment it looks like you will have a lot of bolts to keep check on when it's testing time, ie, brake disc fasteners, Landrover hub fasteners, wheel nuts and mog hub nut I was left with two sets to worry about, wheel is tightened up on top of my disc fasteners so they cannot work loose, after that I only have wheel nuts and mog hub nut to keep an eye on I have to say though it's looking good and your cracking on with it Regards Stephen
  8. Rain rain go away Let me weld all day today.... Not a bloody chance Some progress but not much Regards Stephen
  9. I'm would say 17" or 20" would really struggle getting 16" to fit regards Stephen
  10. In other things I started making collars for my flat bar bender so I can roll 3mm flat on its end Progress so far Old flange one of two Lathe work Parting off Rings will be drilled and tapped to take grub screws so I can tighten onto bender rolls creating the gap I need to stop flat bar deforming you get the idea.. regards Stephen
  11. Not a lot achieved today, no thanks to the weather, really going to have to be ruthless in my garage to make space Started making a streamlined winch bumper, not a @Daan copy I hasten to add, but his is very streamlined, so I thought why not This part nearly finished and tried on Sid, will sit 2" lower when on proper regards Stephen

  20. So power steering box fitted, no leaks, radiator and oil cooler fitted, no guysers...lol Boost pin and dynamic spacer fitted, engine seems a bit better, won't know until it's tried in anger, but Sid is mobile once again Question will a servo off a 90 or 110 fit Sid because I don't think my servo is as good as it should be Regards Stephen
  21. Decisions, decisions, what do you guys think Was looking at the front of Sid and thought I could lose a whole load of weight by fitting a low line winch, cue new Rhino winch and also improve my approach angle a wee bit Without warn 8274 with mocked up Rhino low line Weight would be mainly lost with a new lighter bumper, as I'm thinking of putting the 8274 into the rear regards Stephen
  22. Not quite, track rod is unimog with unimog track rod ends, my forged steering arm was drilled for a landrover track rod end from the steering box, if you remember I had to cobble up a tapered teamed Regards Stephen
  23. No that's ok, track arm is unimog so very strong also it is shaped to fit under diff body, I was thinking more about the steering arm from the box, looking to beef that arm up Regards Stephen
  24. @dangerous doug where did you get your tre's and taps from please Regards Stephen
