  3. i have seen quick detach winch trays, maybe this would fit onto your towing thingymabob bit (quick detach doohla) failing that BODGE IT lol also i have jus finished making my new rear bumper, with a towing eye in it, and to strenghternit further than it already is, i put another tube inside it inbetween the chassis rails. mikey

  14. a couple of years ago, i was in woodwork class a school, using a stanley knife to cut grooves into the MDF i was working on, exactly how i was showed to do it. knife slips cuts end of finger clean off, could see the bone, and blood was like in a cartoon, spurting out with every heartbeat. but the wierd thing was my reaction, it wasnt owwwwwwwwwww f*********** first it was, oh nooo my finger will be deformed forever now then it was, i might need a palstr for that. no jokes, this was actually my reactions!!!!!!! I think in those situations, it is the shock that takes over and you dont really feel the pain, so i tried to carry on with my work until after 30 seconds it had been died red. so i went to hospital etc, and all the doctor said, was "that looks like you were using a sharp blade" NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO you dont say lol mikey
  15. keep the disco, looks a minter, and if you really want to sell it, wait until the prices start to rise again or yu could sell it to me for £15 mikey
  16. i thin that 235/70/R16 are the easiest tyre choice in terms of no modifications, as this is the standard tyre option on discovery's, i went for some 235/70 insa turbos and i only had to do the smallest trimming ever due to the knobblyness of the tyre, and it was only on the lip of the rear arch where the metal folds back 90 degrees, i just bent it back even further and it doesent catch now after i trimmed, unnoticable do you not think and it looks good with them, and they perform excelently mikey
  17. again, really sorry to hear what happened, especially what they did to it. although im surprised that they did not break it, or they could have been intending to before their little accident. but round where i live they tend to be burned after a joyride. mikey
  18. im not a huge fan of japanese cars, but looking good mate, and going rather fast too. good luck, also, are you planning on SVAing it? or is it just an off road toy? mikey
  19. Anderzander: mine does that with my new tires, and it may well be that even though it doesent happen every time, as the axle may be slightly moving latterally which means that the tyre would rub in some circumstances but not others, to test this, you could find a not very steep hill, and drive round in circles on the side of it, if the noise only occurs ehrn you are doing the top half of the circle but not the bottom half, this is probably your answer. personally, i just live with it. as for the other wierd noises being experienced, its a land rover, and i have learnt to just think MEH when it happens and leave it, or fill everything underneath it up with grease instead of oil, exept of course the fuel tank. (and due to bad experience DO NOT FILL UP THE DIFF WITH GREASE, as the oil can act as a coolant, preventing friction welding.) mikey
  20. sorry, a little off topic but how cool, an inventing shed does that mean you have a seperate workshop? mikey
  21. im on the derbyshire area, right on the edge of the peak district, and we have walkists on our land a lot, and its private, so my dad tells me to go and see what they want, i drive up to them, tell them nicley that they are on private land and wouldnt they mind to move back onto a footpath, then if thay are a nuicance i use my landy to annoy them, as it is a bit tuned, by giving them a massive puff of diesely tasting black smoke to inhale whilst driving away however, i do see walkists on green lanes when im with my dad etc. and they never seem to be a problem then. mikey
  22. who needs backwards anyway lol my old 110 popped out of gear when going backwards, so i didnt use reverse SORTED lol, my only other suggestion has been said, with the chamfer on the edge of the pads. mikey
  23. you have to do it in a certian order, im not exactly sure but i have a feeling that it is first: passenger side rear brake second: driver side rear third:passenger side front last: driver side front mikey
  24. i agree, i just posted up about the need of an alpine light tonight, and within 5 minutes someone has got one i could buy, how nice lol mikey
