  19. Alan Remember to apply for permission and get the licence, !!! about £130 a year !!! Loads of conditions including , having to service it once a year, and keep a log,, , which also has to name all the "approve" operators of the burner We have looked into it on a few occasions , (as near 1000 lts a month to use) !! recently just last year,, after a council busy body came round snooping for oil burner fires,, Crazy state,,
  20. Stephen Yep a big con is cost !! Pros are, low noise level, low vibration, more compact size, Designed to run at full load 24/7 , more air for the same given motor power hence lower running costs,, They are a few makes of screw compressor about, and cheaper, but went for the HPC as being recommended as the best, so much so, have forgot what i paid for it,, remember it was not cheap,,IIRC about £1k more that a piston machine, but even with hindsight, would buy the same again
  21. When it comes to change again,, will go for another screw compressor,, Found HPC to be excellent,, and if close to a lift, with people working, resonably quite, not cheap, but excellent kit , current one must be near 15 year old now,,
  22. Strange,, mines flying just now,, even straight into the 6 page Portalcat thread,, no bothers But now taking a age to post this ???
  23. santalars Don't worry about it,, at the rear, top, is another inlet, from memory, about 1.5" square
