  1. Some do some don't mine are quite snug but I can live with a little chafe also bear on mind the track bar does move vertically a little as the steering cycles. Mike
  2. If it's threaded (this may work on pressed in to) try an easyout or failing that use a left-handed drill bit (yes I am serious) because as the drill cuts it can unscrew the bit you want out and if it doesn't well your ready to Re-tap it. Mike
  3. You could do something like soren out of tube with some strategic holes. Mike
  4. For the steel tank that part is listed as "pickup/return pipe" I think it depends on engine option as to what it's used for. I've used it as a return on mine (200tdi) the pickup is part of the sender. Mike
  5. Bookings need to be via the online form and no later than Thursday lunchtime. See you all there. Mike
  6. Yes the day session will finish a 16.00 as usual, we will stay on site (we're going to take a bbq up all are welcome to join us but bring your own bbq and food). However your more than welcome to go off else where (campsite, pub, etc). But I will ask NO ALCOHOL IF YOU WANT TO DRIVE THE NIGHT SECTION you will be asked to leave if we think you have sorry but we can't take the risk. Sign in and fresh briefing at 19.00 first group off about 19.30 ish. Mike
  7. Cool there's hope for you yet... I just hope 55 goes through a week on Monday. Mike
  8. Here is the original: https://youtu.be/p_iup2jXQqI And mk2: https://youtu.be/P5FjZUwe000 And the one I posted first is an off shoot. Mike
  9. I've bought a fair bit from lrs via eBay no complaints so far. Mike
  10. I've got a v block and a blade but they are separate so I have to line them up which can be a bit 10 handed. Works well though and I can do folds into corners (which I think is what gazzar means). I've folded small bits of 1/4 with mine so I reckon you could do about a 3" long fold in 1/4 in the middle of yours. Mike
  11. Could you build it half track style or perhaps have 4 sets of tracks front 2 steering or bend in the middle. Mike
  12. You might want to read the iva manual as there are things you can and can't do Re-fuel tanks. Mine is custom for the ibex from foers. The blitz was a model made by ncf motors after the diamond's and before the Sahara either mini or panda based iirc. Mike
  13. If it goes well we'll run it next September to. Mike
  14. Finally we've hashed out plans for the night run it will start around 7pm till 11pm. Groups of 5 trucks one being a marshal don't expect them to lead though some might but not all, following a set greenlane style route marked with reflective tape. If you want to know more you'll have to come and find out...... Mike
  15. Perhaps land rover them selves should read this (and other) threads then maybe they would workout why some of there offerings are not well received. Mike
  16. It's interesting that quite a few of us have progressed or should that be digressed from minis to land rovers. Mike
  17. We are now taking bookings for the 26th-27th September come along join the fun. We're still hammering out the details for the night section but it will definitely be dark. For more info and bookings see. http://www.shirelrc.com/ Mike
  18. About time you started this thread! What's wrong with purple and colour is it going to be then. Mike
  19. I'm a serial car builder I love British cars started with mini's (and still do) so land rover was a natural progression I off-road alot for fun, tow large trailers for various reasons and love the chanageability of them. Currently we have a 89 plate 90 (45), a 83 plate 110 (55) and a foers ibex 300 (in build) plus a mini Marcos and a mini jem. Yeah I've got it bad.... Mike
  20. No more projects for the time being more a temporary live change nuff said. I can still work on it where it is but I suspect live may get in the way. Mike
  21. Well done nothing on this lately however it's being relocated for a while so it's out of the garage. While it's out it's rude not to put the mach 5's on. Then on to the trailer. Don't expect to get much done for a while now. Mike
  22. There's always June next year date to be confirmed (i should know by Xmas) or September. Nod nod wink wink. Mike
