  1. Doesn't look like much more than 2-3" but they've cut a lot of bodywork those arches are about 4" higher than standard items. Mike
  2. 37" trepidors on what looks like 16" mach 5 beadlocks. I think the arches are specials as there was another tread about them I while ago. I don't think it was decided where they came from. Mike
  3. Front prop length gives you position of transfer box as all chassis have the front axle in the same place with the same axle/diff. Mike
  4. Could you do it so it picked up on the rear bar as well it wouldn't move then. I reckon you could sell these there a great idea. Mike
  5. I guess some earlier boxes have bolts were you have studs because I've definitely taken bolts out of them. Mike
  6. Whilst I agree with daan/lewis on a series/90 on a disco the gains from a simple 2" suspension lift out weigh the negatives. Yes cog is worse but most everything else is improved. Body lift is point less approach, ramp brake over and departure angles do not change plus cog is worse so the only gain is tyre clearance. At the end of the day it's a daily driver not a challenge truck. Just my 2 pence worth.
  7. No transfer box it may or may not be a stud or the very bottom one but one of them definitely isn't a blanked hole. Mike
  8. Bottom front face bolt trust me if you remove it with oil in you get wet very quickly.Mike
  9. Filip did indeed do some calculations for me in my case he came up with a figure of 7.9t on my rear pin with a 135° wrap of winch rope and 3.3t on the pulley with a 45° wrap based on a ep9 so I did my pins at 14t breaking strain. Mike
  10. I think it's got more to do with the bent nails holding them in place (the spring plates won't fit the other way round. Mike
  11. It's probably old enough to be mot exempt so there's no problem it must be roadworthy. Mike
  12. I get it under the truck roll it on to the jack support it and jack into position. A friend has a frame the bolts to the t-box so you have a flat surface to jack on (drawings in the lr workshop manual iirc). Mike
  13. He didn't bark much but made a fair bit of noise when he got oil on his jeans. Mike
  14. Range rover sport grill but yep that's about it. Foers have just put and ls3 in an ibex f8 for sjd motorsport not much info on the web but David foers is quite approachable. Mike
  15. Sounds like ours maybe ex Scottish power then I did wonder why it had a vacuum receiver under the wing hmm more research required thank you.Mike
  16. Ahh I remember late nights/early mornings in a cave with bacon on the woodburner....... Mike
  17. That's interesting did yours have a long range tank under the drivers seat and a hand throttle to. As this might explain some things on our 110. Mike
  18. Definitely been on here before for the same reason and the same response was given......walk away. Mike
  19. Decode the vin it may be on the range rover chassis number and registration. In which case it's still a hybrid iirc if done correctly before sva it would say so on the v5 and be on a either a new (at the time) or a q plate as with kit cars at the time you just took them to the local dvla office they looked at them and registered them the plate would purely be down the year it was done (q plate came in the 80's to I identify kits and rebuilds etc). Mike
  20. Nah you knew what you were getting before you left home. Mind the vast majority of what was left on my sheet is now in the dump trailer as I simply need it gone. Mike
  21. I did manage to palm off some quality items on unsuspecting people. Mike
  22. For summer sisters (june) we're planning to lengthen the sat a bit (not sure to what time yet as people apparently need to eat and pubs have a habit of stopping serving) but at that time of year it doesn't get dark till 22.30 no night run. As for seven sisters (september) the night run was such a hit with those that made it yes we are hoping to run it again next year. Mike
  23. Just a taste of what you missed. What a fantastic weekend great weather good company some of the best offroading I've done. Mike
