  1. Definitely. Are you using some sort of usb to serial adapter?
  2. Somewhere between some petrol and a match, and trying to sort out the niggles...
  3. Oof, that's some harsh news! Take xare of yourself, and hope to see you back in good health soon!
  4. These days I just drive until the LPG runs out and then drive on petrol until the next LPG station I come across. Less bother than crawling through small German towns in the dead of night trying to find LPG. And the few litres of petrol won't murder your wallet. So yes, large tank nice, but they're truly enormous - I don't think I'd want something taking up more space than the 90L tank I have in the spare wheel well now.
  5. Correct, most LPG injectors are low impedance and would need an extra PWM board to drive them. Still less of a hassle than most multipoint LPG ECUs that aren't very nice to say the least. We're planning something like that for @Escape's car.
  6. Is your megasquirt set up for multi-fuel? In that case I would seriously consider using that instead of piggybacking an LPG ECU, it's not like they do *that* much more.
  7. As long as you don't steer they shouldn't come off that easily. That, or put a ratchet strap between the chassis and axle.
  8. When installing a new system now, I think I'd go for CNG instead of LPG. As Snagger said, prices are up and available fuelling stations are down unless you go to eastern Europe. Indeed not a problem on the ferry.
  9. Good to see progress again! Hopefully you find the motivation to continue with it.
  10. Definitely does look like your infill shining through. Interesting!
  11. Might be worth grabbing the online manual for a day?
  12. LR being cagey with their trademark isn't just because they're evil person I'm not that keen on, it's because they *have* to defend it or they'll lose their claim to the trademark. Which is why years ago they went after all of the forums and such with Land Rover in the name.
  13. Thanks. Might have to upgrade, getting mighty annoyed with the one I have now (XYZ DaVinci Jr). No heated bed, small print area, and have only ever gotten it to print PLA properly, PETG never wanted to cooperate.
  14. What printer is that? I'm jealous of you being able to print large things.
  15. Glad you found something. I can definitely see that kind of TRE setup amplifying issues, since you suddenly have two wheels flopping around with just one loose joint.
  16. Good to hear. I still think your spring rates are a bit on the limit if you need a shock to not hit the bumpstops, but good that everything is feeling better now. In my experience, super stiff shocks vs very soft shocks is down to being gas-filled or not. But any shock should slowly compress with your weight on it, if it doesn't do that it's very faulty.
  17. Thinking further on the tyres - could one have broken a steel band and gone out of round? Something like this (pic stolen from the interwebs):
  18. Something in the springs/their mounting perhaps? Might be worth trying to jack the front up by the chassis and giving everything a good push to see what/if anything moves.
  19. The XYZ switch shouldn't affect anything but the forward gear selection. P/R/N/D are still actuated mechanically. If you want to be sure of this, unplug the ECU and try to drive. A fault will only be logged if the output is different enough from the expected output. So probably at extended higher revs. From your symptoms I'd guess something failed in the reverse clutch or valving.
  20. Interesting: https://ashcroft-transmissions.co.uk/product/hd-110-rear-differential/
  21. You've seen how the valley on a Rover V8 looks, right? Aren't those from the rocker shaft? Looks familiar anyway.
  22. https://www.pirate4x4.com/threads/the-coilover-bible-part-1-by-billavista-pirate4x4x-com.2702748/ Scroll down to "spring theory" (or read it all if you're bored, it's interesting stuff). Written for coilovers, but the first part is valid for all springs. I still think your previous (probably gas-filled) shocks added enough spring rate to mask that your springs are too soft. If you haven't noticed the vehicle sagging, then I doubt the spring rate has changed. And as the linked article says, spring shouldn't just change their properties under normal conditions.
  23. It does sound plausible that your previous shocks were stiffer and masking the spring problem a bit. What you really need is sprung corner weights so you know which springs you need.
