  6. It was announced to be permenant closure but pressure could be brought to reopen in a few years when natural recovery has had a chance to work. John
  7. Things went very well in Rocky. Unfortunately since the Waiprous (sp) area was closed this area has come in for some very heavy use particularly from ATVs. I had a 1.5 hr meeting with the SRD on the issue. John

  9. I have used exactly what you were asking for. A single heavy feed to eight spade fuses. I can't remember the supplier but I have my local parts store that got it for me looking it up. Will post when the info come in. John .
  10. To increase the preload shims need to be removed. There are several different thicknesses so they can be shuffled to produce the correct preload. Once the initial inertia has been overcome the resistance to turning should be 3.6 to 4.5 kg (8 to 10 pounds) measured at the trackrod end eye. John
  11. True, 10 would be better The Landys Reg plate is "COW" so guess what colour :) Please note...not all cows are black and white. In fact those black and white splotchy jobbies are imports from the north of Holland. The Irish do a nice three stripe black and white beast from Galloway. From Scotland we have a pretty brown,white and tan scheme but it is rather hairy. Traditional English gives us a nice roan Shorthorn or Lincoln Red. John
  12. Yes it does, On a Land rover the first place to check for this problem is the preload as mentioned above. It's quite possible that things were not replaced quite as needed when the ARB was installed. To check the preload you need only remove the wheels and disconnect the trackrod. To reset with the most accuracy pop off the seal. John
