  1. Doh! I didnt see that sorry. Google will bring up the part number easily enough. Is there anyone in the UK who can take delivery of the mirror head then forward you the little part as a 'gift' hopefully avoiding import charges. G
  2. you dont need to take the hinge off. The mirror just sits over the ball on the arm. Cant find the bit your after but the mirror heads are only £7 delivered on Ebay. G
  3. I like a tight bush. Another vote for Superpro G
  4. So you didn't pop your head under for a quick nose? sounds like your trailing arms have fallen off G
  5. Is it worth going vented? I have a pair of spacers sitting around to fit 300tdi calipers and cant decide wether to fit them to my 90 or not. Not much mud plugging, just lanes and overland trips G
  6. Terrafirma medium duty are good with Old Man Emu shocks. If you dont need the 2" lift why not just fit some new standard springs and armstrong shocks? G
  7. haha, what happened here while I went to my Russian evening class? Chris - The trailer lights work fine. Its only when connected to my 90 that the 90s stop/tail does not work. The brake part does, just not the tail. I know it is the LED bulbs because when I replace them with normal all works fine again. The pins on the LED bulbs are stepped so only fit the holder one way which all works fine when no trailer connected. It has to be something to do with the resistance surely? G
  8. fuel filter assembly = RTC4939 heater = RTC5938 temp sensor = STC612 Google is wonderfull G
  9. Not that old <12 months. The wiring must be correct because it works with normal bulbs. Have spoken to someone and they think I need to add a ballast to the 90 wiring. MAy fit LED's to the trailer and see if that solves it. G
  10. Afternoon Gents, We connecting my trailer up to my 90 the rear tail lights on the vehicle do not work. Now, the 90 and trailer are all using conventional bulbs bar the rear tail/brake lights which are LED. Brake lights work, but tail does not when connected to the trailer. Swapped out the bulbs for conventional ones and it all works fine. So, why do the LED bulbs do this? and what can I do to make them work with my trailer? I need the LED ones as conventional red bulbs turn pink after not long. They are also a lot brighter. any help appreciated. G
  11. I would go with EGT for the 4th. Dont see the need for a boost gauge really. If your turbo is working its working, nothing to look at. I have a T piece made up by Croytec ages ago, went to fit it the other day and the thing wont screw in. Looked at the threads and they are the same as the oil sender, but it wont go in, any suggestions? I would like to get my VDO senders in then I can wire up the gauges. G
  12. is the gauge earthed? the 300tdi guages read full until earthed. Should be a daisy chain off the other gauges. G
  13. The clowns down there dont care. I had a word with a couple of lads in £100 disco's, they didn't care. said if it was siezed (section 51?) they would 'just buy another one'. and all this when Minety P&P is less than 10 miles away with Foxham a further 10 miles. I haven't been up there in a long time, probably 2 years ago in my 2a lightweight. G
  14. Good luck guys. Thanks for the link Jason. I just found out they are/were in Egypt over on the HUBB, regonised the name so came back over here for a look. G
  15. Not a scenery pic or LR related, more my commuter machine carting ebay items to work on the 7 mile (each way) commute. Just replaced this Ribble with a Salsa Vaya. Ecofriendly parcel delivery G
  16. I would only ever consider a compressor type fridge/freezer. Think of it as an investment. Would recommend 2nd hand on the well respected makes/models. Long time user of Engel. Used my MT45 in Morocco, on for 4 weeks solid. Used a MT45 in West Africa which we had on for 5 weeks solid in ambient temps of upto 52 degrees C! (Southern Mali) The Engel was quite enclosed in the Land Cruiser so was working very hard to keep the beers cool. this LC had been driven up the west coast from ZA with the Engel on all the way over 12 months prior to our collection from storage. Would also add that Jason missed a minor detail that Sawafuji swing motors are used in Engels so people are not only looking for Danfoss models. Lastly, a very comprehensive review article taken from the Overland Journal, probably one of the only un-biased publications in our hobby. http://www.expeditionportal.com/resources/equipment-review-and-testing/556-overland-journal-portable-12v-fridge-review.html G
  17. What size rubber are you running? If you dont need the lift I would stick with new HD original springs. If you do need the lift then I would highly recommend Terrafirma springs (medium weight should do you) but not the shocks. I found the shocks did not 'damp' at all and my truck was bouncy. OK, it is a very heavy one too. I did have a very early set though so things may have improved. currently running OME N44 shocks on the rear and they have improved things no end. HTH G
  18. And make sure the body of the gauge is earthed. G
  19. Epic statement Lanes are about getting out there and enjoying the countryside on 4 wheels (and camping if you can ). G
  20. I did wonder as I had mine fitted recently and yes wider at base. To add to the stupid thread: On my '2 tabs on bottom' screen does it matter which is + and which is - ? I didn't think it did but as we are here asking silly questions I thought it rude not to join in I think I know where im going with the rest, relay etc. G
