  1. Siggy The guy you need is ex GLASS Chair Dave Wilson aka Project Blue on the old forum. I will try and dig out his number and let him know that 'some muppet from down south' wants to go laning oop north
  2. Stephen, I used these on the RaRo for about a year because I had the same problems with Pro-Comp springs - I found them to be bl**dy excellent. I will no doubt fit them again when the present springs get tired.
  3. That reminds me Paul, I have a buyer for the P38 wheels on the Tomcat! By the way will you ring me so I know what your new mobile number is...
  4. I am only inflicting my boots myself and poor old Matt (and maybe young Darren who has blagged a piece of floor) being cheapskates we booked one of the rooms in the nurses quarters. Matt snores like a horse but then so do I! The dorms are great though - I just wanted to be closer to the showers and the common room. Counting down the days now
  5. I met a bloke at the old Off Road and 4x4 Show at West Wycombe, who had a Candy Apple Red Champ with a mohair roof. He had had the vehicle professionally sprayed. It ran 7.50x16 SATs on Outlaw rims and was the dogs hairy danglers! My old man still rates them as being a superb bit of kit, they were issued with some during Korea. What broke them was a squaddy habit of banging them into reverse at 40mph! The engine is a work of shear genius and a thing of beauty. Mind you the vehicle development costs back in '47 were over 4 million! There is a bloke on the Mendips with one that has a 3.8 Perkins in it but that is an abomination in the eyes of god...
  6. Rogue, if you want, Selectcase could give the door cards to TJ101, who can give me them to me on the 27th and I will drop them off at your house on the 28thish... I could pick up some more waterproof containers. I need a Range Rover OS door mirror (leccy type from the late 80's), I don't care if the glass is broken... Edited to say - Duh! I meant the 3rd of November...
  7. Jim, Training is no problem - ring me to discuss I won't be out this weekend as I have to work on the RR on Sunday, in preparation for 7S. However if I get finished early, me and the small person (my Daughter, not Fruity) could show you some of the more interesting bits of the Blackdowns... You may need to invest in T-Cut later though!
  8. No the Quantocks one is a doodey - you need to be careful in a couple of places though
  9. What do you mean Fruity! I did the Quantock one (well CJ was there as well) amongst others Fruity did one you haven't seen yet Just you wait for the Blackdowns one...tee hee
  10. It holds over two tonnes on a 60degree slope... Sadly though the tyres didn't Big skid marks
  11. Sorry I missed it. I have been a bit late with my words for TOR this month, coupled with forgeting it was one of my ex wifes access visit weekends... I did however flash/wave to Hedley and a few others on my way up to through Othery at about 5ish this afternoon.
  12. Had mine on for about two months now. It is the dogs hairy bollox I have been on to the Vatigan about Simon's status as a deity because he has performed a miracle!
  13. Moved a tonne or so of logs, made some space in the garage, which I promtly filled, cleaned the chickens out, took some piccies, had a doze, fitted a s/h multichanger in the RR and some bling gear knobs, moved the Garmin aerial, did a couple of lanes to test the knobs, hoovered, cut the grass, had another doze, looked at my winch, tried to fit the radio in the RR properly, fed the child, got out of going to Tesco's....
  14. Tim, How about a BDT long stroke in an RS200? Wibble.. As for vehicles I would like a 1947 Dodge Powerwagon, a URAL 6x6, another MGC and a Mk1 Golf GTI
  15. It's the Devon Glass/Off Roader/Meet Tony Walsh pub meet on this Thursday night at 20.00 at the 6 Bells Payhembury, Nr Honiton Be there or be elsewhere
  16. I have yellows - and I think they look lovely
  17. I will be along and I will bring the lodger - she hasn't passed her driving test yet but is over 14 so should okay to compete under AWDC rules... Scotty - she is 18 and blonde so you behave ok!
  18. I am interested. Looked at your website and it seems dominated by modified vehicles. Do you have an RTV class?
  19. Good on yer Simon! Last time I was at Baskerville was for the very last of the Four Wheeler Meets - the anything goes in the persuit of 4x4 nirvana off road weekends organsied by John Carrol. It was a fancy dress do as well - St Trinians! Bl**dy excellent but we camped - in November...

  21. Ramsey Rep 8000 became Saggitarius/GEW and the bits fit!
  22. So the show season this year goes like this: Billing - over priced, poorly run South West 4x4 Show - laughed out of the county Malvern LROi - a farce beyond compare Eastnor LRW - oh dear oh dear Live Prom show - a pile of rained out poo So what about the 4x4 show at Stoneleigh, Abingdon, Langley Farm Bring back West Wycombe...
  23. Hate to point this out old spoof but the two winches you mentioned aren't copies! Both T-max and Come Up are original, just sold under loads of brandnames - the T is a mile marker all the way to a ramsey and the Come up is a Premier through to a Superwinch... The 8274 is a copy (ish) in it's own right really, being an updated/upgraded Belleview. In fact if you look at the Belle, it's castings and build make the 8274 look like a GEW or a Saggitarius. Bit like the Husky being a copy of the Ramsey DV200 I suppose. It's a good question though, I've wondered the same thing a few times...
