  1. well it seems my work truck may be on the way out, i have a hybrid, disco chassied ,90 inch ,trayback as my comp truck of the moment which is tried and true, my question is who's spaceframe is my work truck's drivetrain best under (for trialling and winching), it has the 300 tdi of a disco and r380 and so on, its a future project as the duck is far from dead ,but i like to get my decisions made in good time, so go forth and provide opinions!!!! please! regards Hugh
  2. afternoon, just a thought, but what about the various side discharge muck spreader suppliers, they may be of some help, i do know marshall are very good with spares and quick delivery
  3. right fella's ive got a similar problem, im getting juddering at 54mph so it cant be kickdown cable as its behaving as it should but the spring plunger in the valve block sounds like it could be the culprit, as said above if accelerated hard it behaves its self until its time to change into 4th, so i should get it flushed and a fresh filter and all should be well? Hugh
  4. really? i thought you were jesting, oh well off with the nut!! on with the pipe!!
  5. thanks for the pointers fella's, i'll get down to pirtek and get one any ideas on the throttle cable though?

  8. screenies = 13p (or there abouts) yup i was asked if it was worth it but somethings like screenwash are more expensive with the trade card, no 3 for 2 offers on the card
  9. when fitting my stauns, they're installation video recommended using window cleaner as lube, as it just slippery enough to aid tyre fitting and doesnt want to foam
  10. isnt the tread pattern above the old school wrangler mt?
  11. i hope its not the JCB phone or atleast its an updated version, because mine was carp, broke within 2 weeks, the droppable from 2 metres is a myth/lie mine broke from a .5 metre drop from tractor steps, sent it back got a new one. Three weeks later it decided that it didnt like making calls, sent it back. Got a new one it did the same thing so i bought a cheap used unlocked nokia off ebay and retired the JCB that was it, nokia survives. Father broke/drowned his in the parlour so sent the JCB back, got a new one, it decided to not take incoming calls so sent it back, new one arrives and survives till end of the contact which was 3ish months! so in reply to the first post, yes it will break down alot, generally be a nuisance and try and not do what its meant but atleast it wont leak oil on your drive
  12. offroad and 4 wheel drive are doing subscriptions for 2 years for $36!!!!!! which is funny as i recently stopped my subscription to TOR because a, they didnt know what they were looking at B, wanted more money for 1 year subscription than 2 years of a proper offroad mag

  15. beach driving is the best, ive got mates in amity (the sea shanties) on straddie, the last time i was over we went for abit of fun down the beach if you go over there keep an eye out for a very nice king cab 60 series in the fetching toyota factory shade of beige, cutting it down was pretty much my last job while i was out there, good times
  16. i looked at these engines when i was putting a new motor in my cruiser, they seem to be pretty good apart from their cylinder heads need to be torqued down abit more and a composite head gasket helps too, but none of this matters if your going to pull it apart and try and get 400bhp from it Hugh
  17. i'd go the nissan axles, they are still a decent upgrade for the money which model are they from?
