    It does give the thought of a throttle position sensor, or 1500rpm is when the turbo kicks in does it hold the boost ok when it is up to speed?

    If you can get a new/good used expansion tank and cap it is deffo worth a try.

    It's definatley repairable if you do the work yourself. However if you have to pay someone to do the work for you it might be better to sell or break. It's your call...

    A very interesting read. I do like the rear door table it has given me an idea of what i will do with mine.

    I think that we might start seeing the rebuilding of Disco's a bit more hopefully so there might be more advice soon.

    Well the sun roof has started leaking so the roof lining is coming off on Sunday. I will see then if there are bolts in it or not.

    I'm thinking of doing a full restoration on my Disco1 XS. Can the roof and all other body panels be simply unbolted off? Can the whole body then be removed from the chassis to allow for a full restoration like a Series or Defender? Thanks

    I was under the impression that you only need a SVA test if you replace the chassis.
