  1. got a new toy, defender with ABS and TC. ABS works OK. Cross axled the defender today and got stuck? TC light came on but no pump or any noises? any ideas please
  2. is there a standard price for converting a 3.9 V8 auto to squirt?
  3. got truetracs front and rear with TC....very nice
  4. southdown no longer make any guards.....not seen the guardian item

  10. all d2's are wired for CC. you'll need a 32 /34mm hole saw and a few tools
  11. it it was built and classified as N1 then its quite cheaper road tax! sounds a much better way of getting a vehicle through all the hoops whilst keeping vosa / DOT / DVLA sweet there maybe a legal way of building a 100" defender after all
  12. if it was "built" with the cage etc then surely its then taken as structural and won't require an IVA as its not an add on? just thinking along the lines of the old 100" hybrid thing, this route would make it now viable and legal
  13. gigglepins new challenge truck is on an 11 plate hence it must be a new vehicle, all new landrover defenders are classed as commercial vehicles so wouldn't it be easier to build a new one ala gigglepins motor and be all square? 100" cages, challenge wings, etc etc etc
  14. Correctomondo KM2's are much quiter than the BFG MTs of old. the compounds have had to change and tread pattern, hence the 20%+ price hike in tyres
  15. sell the D1 as a going concern and by a D2 td5 much better car, lot less rust and cheap enough now
  16. Had a thought, check the CAT! mine was rattling, sapped it for a de cat pipe and got £35 for the old one
  17. could broken flex plate or the rear bearing going either ay it could be expensive
  18. crown diff dismantled 2 x truetrac diffs, new bearings and turned one round to run in the front for £110 inc you have been mugged my friend
  19. D1 weighs around 2400 kg half finished whitbread about 1400kg? thats 1000kgs lighter! so YES
