  1. removing the turbo off a td5 isn't that hard. DP bolts are accessible and turbo to mani bolts are ok aswell. a good soaking in release agent first though.
  2. is the truck lighter than standard? there is no way of adjusting the creep as i see it, rpm dependant and designed weight of the donor car
  3. should be less drive when it's off cold start enrichment...choke. you need a bit of creep, stops you from roiling back at junctions etc
  4. but there is the other side were people get robbed by garages and then think everyones at it. would like to see his dads face with the bar hanging out the axle casing.
  5. after 2002 they get the facelift dash and the later / better 15p engine 10k gets you a nice 2003 with 80,000 on ebay i'd like a dc but with a disco transfer box mod
  6. so use it purely to keep the rear or front or both axles rotating at the same rate. so bulit in difflocks and fiddles, all on a neat control panel!
  7. yes i'd do all the above please waxoil the chassis, bulkhead and b pillars etc. jack the car off the ground, pump the tyres up hard, disconnect the battery or leave it on trickle charge. get some dehumidifying crystals etc to stop the mildew.
  8. sell the salisbury for £300...get a 4 pin diff for the 90 axle and repair the axle tube. much cheaper easier than putting a salisbury on 90
  9. abs sensors? gets expensive on a D2, get it on namocom
  10. thats Ian! keep onto him or look up adafish on land rover uk forum, it's his mate and very good at getting a reply

  14. i like this one! NAS 110 you can buy the kit from exmoor trim
  15. i hope the door is complete? the internal parts, if bought separately can cost over £500 think a complete painted puma door around £1500
  16. i got asked hen i changed a 19j to 200 on an old 90 stupid omen didn't have a clue when i called her. good luck, they like to keep V5 lately......... don't want old and dirty cars around
  17. sounds like a load of hassle when you can buy them from ashcrofts for £250 or fit a trutrac and have the best of both worlds......
  18. water pump? sounds like its over heating, boiling to me. there not that hard to bleed through TBH.
  19. Hope this helps. 2000 td5 csw with factory fitted arbs and towpack.
  20. turn it up, just remember to let it tick over for 10 seconds or so to let the turbo wind down from 100,000 rpm! thats what kills the older style turbos. modern engines have aux electric water pumps to keep the engine and the turbo cool for 10 mins after you shut it off.
