  1. 100%. If they don't pay much, why should the employee do much?
  2. What really gets me is that it costs just as much to do it right as wrong.
  3. Speedishift. https://www.speedshift.co.uk Vince runs the show. Delivery can be late, driver shortage, but collection was good.
  4. What's a dps pump? Any photos?
  5. One day (year??) I'll learn to tig. Retirement project.
  6. Just don't fit the TDI filter housing with blanking plugs for the oil cooler hoses. It can starve the engine. There's a "how to" on the landyzone site.
  7. My dad used to work for one of the zetor importers. He was the predelivery inspector. They used to drive them from the docks to the depot, along the quays in the centre of town. Racing tractors through the traffic! Couldn't do it these days.
  8. Spent so many hours in a zetor I couldn't count them. I started driving in one at 7 years old. Masseys may be classy, but a zetor is better.
  9. Don't think so, internal non structural rot is probably best treated with a creeping cavity wax. Many superb products out there: dinatrol, built hambler, etc. Don't use old engine oil, the drips cause motorbikes to crash. Waxoil is disappointing.
  10. It's just another part of the system: Remove, treat, prevent, isolate and protect. Blast, acid, zinc, epoxy, top coat.
  11. I've used straight phosphoric acid. Brush on. It dries white, remove all residue, wirebrush or whatever, and you are left with an almost galv surface. If there's still rust, repeat. Basically, the cleaner, the better. Then 2k zinc phosphate on top. Ensuring the surface is well keyed, coarse sandpaper works for me.
  12. Ideal, best not show the station master, she'll want to fit them to her railway wagon ....
  13. Peace and quiet? Wales?! I'm not buying it either. I've been to Newport.
  14. I know of a K reg series three 88. One of the first 1,000 built.
  15. Such a waste. Our guys are generally okay, there a container full of stuff to buy. But only safe stuff. No raw materials like bits of steel, though.
  16. Free cycle is a good option. Some true gold. Got a set of 110/90 and defender workshop manuals this year.
  17. I found this on the path where the retired people put out their rubbish last night.
  18. Serial is vin number by rover Con is the MOD contract that it was bought under. Fv is fighting vehicles I think. Reg is the military registration, look it up on Merlin, b card from royal logistics. Code is the specification, 109 ffr etc. Nsn? No idea? NATO number?
