  1. ... and end up upsetting far more people than they intended!
  2. S'already been mentioned here, mate. Also, your link appears to need a login.
  3. What's the URL you're trying?
  4. I'm going to turn up for my first RTV, with SimonR in tow as passenger! No need to pre-register Nige?
  5. Golly Les! For someone who spends their time poring oil on troubled waters and issuing wise words of peace and wisdom on this forum I wouldn't have expected to hear these words of civil disobedience!
  6. I concur with the bent bar option if you're fabricating it yourself. Simple & bloody strong!
  7. Mark - Get yourself a Bluetooth one. I got the TomTom bluetooth thingie which works with laptop, PDA. TtFF less than 30 secs everytime, and alot quicker when 'warm'. Edited to say I just checked the spec of your LapTop.... Get yourself a new one with BT!
  8. Couldn't get it to work either...
  9. Full range of affected technologies as taken from here: - Citizens’ Band (CB) radio – measures to remove the need for users of CB radio, of which there are currently 20,000, to obtain a licence from Ofcom; - “micro” FM transmitters – these devices are designed to facilitate easy connection between audio sources (such as digital audio devices and MP3 players) and normal FM broadcast receivers by way of a radio link. Ofcom proposes to permit the use of these devices on a licence-exempt basis; - A range of new technologies and novel applications of radio where users will not need to obtain a licence from Ofcom: -- Inmarsat BGAN and High Density Fixed Satellite Service (HDFSS) satellite terminals; -- Narrow band use of 24 GHz for short-range radar (including automotive applications); -- Radar Level Gauges; -- Digital PMR 446 (“walkie talkies”);
  10. I'm sorry - I've obviously missed something here.... Why would you want to injet water into the inlet manifold?? Is this just a finger up at us hydrophobic V8 users to show that oil burners work even when you force water into them? B)
  11. As they are obviously fully aware of the problem, it seems to me that a £50K+ car should come with an automatic turbo timer to avoid cooking the engine. I'm sure it'd take a bit of getting used to a 30sec over run when you switch off the engine, but rather that than destroying an engine through 'normal use'.
  12. Gosh! It even comes with it's own dainty waffle boards!
  13. Although they don't seem to have much choice in the matter, I wonder why they all appear to be driving, or at least getting stuck, on the left? Russia changed to right hand driving around about the time the Tzars got kicked out.
  14. Word of mouth! You can't beat it as a recommendation. B)
  15. Doh! I just spotted this on the HBLRO forum... RTV Explained
  16. <thicko mode>What does RTV refer to in this context, and what sort of driving day is it? If you're setting out, are there set routes to follow? Is this a bit more than just a club play day? </thicko mode>
  17. I think that's a perfectly valid solution. It's certainly one used by most online gaming forums.
  18. Are good winch rope deals a secret then? I'm sorry, but I just don't see the point in people posting to tell the whole world you're having a private conversation. Either post the answer here, or send a PM. No need to do both...
  19. You're missing a voting option for 'It'! So neither for me...
  20. Q: hi could you tell me how it runs and is it auto or manual what miles it done, whanks willie A: hi runs fine its auto, handbrake stuck so propshaft removed, mileage is 133000 That's hilarious!!! Runs fine?? LOL
  21. Got some household cores to sort out as 'er indoors is on nights this week. I'll be plumbing as much of the rear winch in tomorrow. Off to see the Horsham posse with pasties at lunch, then go and have a play at Shoreham on Sunday.
