  1. Td5 gauges into a 300tdi is doable. Its not just plug and play AFAIK. I've got them in my 200tdi . Someone with more knowledge will be along soon I'm sure.
  2. Its part of the nature of the beast to a certain extent though, lots of components with little bits of slack soon add up. Your average car has far less bits in it, I guess its probably a far newer design too!
  3. OOPS! I thought I had commented, but obviously only just sneaked a look at work!
  4. They got taken off the armed unit for that one I believe!
  5. Contrary to popular belief, things are happening in the Shed-o-Warne!
  6. I'll take some off your hands Jason if you don't think you will get through it all
  7. Would a 200tdi run OK on it? And if you were to declare the tax on it.... how much would that be?
  8. Personally I would take them off, and you can then get the pain everywhere on them. I think it ruins a vehicle when you open the bonnet etc and the paint is a different colour.
  9. This is the reason I'm probably not going... arranged a day of truck building with Mr Warne
  10. Thanks . I will stash that away! Mods - Is it something we can link to in the Tech Archive?
  11. Not the hubs sorry, the shafts/flanges/diff are different. Its one of the hubs is a bit knackered, a drive flange thread has been dodgy for a while. Interesting... Wonder why they used two different types at the same time then (early 110/90 and Rangey) then as Td5s are the flat type. Number is: 28S.....A
  12. Picture of the hubs is no use as I believe them to have been changed to suit 24spline shafts (for the locker). The slotted stub axles are the earlier ones, and I think they changed around 300tdi to the ones with a flat. (this has the slots) Length of diff studs is down to age, I want to say td5 went to all the same length but I could be wrong. The two either side of the 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock positions are shorter on earlier ones (which mine were), because of the thinner casting of the diff casing. Brakes are single line, and I haven't seen any evidence of ABS. Sorry to be a pain James . Someone must have some reference table to look up the axle number
  13. Its just 'ALT + Print Screen' for the live window
  14. So its easier when buying parts! Thankfully mine has nice clear letters and numbers stamped in
  15. My 90 has at some time in its life been fitted with a disk braked rear axle. Apparently from a Range Rover. Is it possible from the axle number to determine what it came from? Not sure if I should post up the number or not...
  16. Just a warning, if you are yanking away at the steering wheel to try and get it off, keep the nut on a few turns so you don't thwack yourself in the face with the wheel if it comes loose
  17. I have various bits of Gwyns kit, and its great
  18. Does it happen to be in a PDF or other postable format Michael?
  19. The clips are likely to get broken during removal anyway.
