Do you have big, flexy suspension or a big lift?
If so, I'd go for some like the Gwyn Lewis ones (I have the rear ).
If its not very flexy, or not a big lift, a standard prop should be fine
The reason the older wide hubs are liked, is not because of the 'stronger 10 spline' you mention, but the wheel bearings being further apart are happier than later narrow ones with big tyres/big offset wheels.
a few of us from on here and a few others. Meet first tuesday of the month at Gas Sports and Social Club, Swindon
Natter about LRs and more over a drink, and plan a laning trip for the sunday after
In theory, and only in theory, if it was made of strong enough materials it would work. But in reality, it wouldn't be made of anything even remotely strong enough without costing more than a new truck.
My thoughts are, that if you're planning on keeping the 110 for a good while, and going to the trouble of rebuilding... I'd go down the new chassis route.
You know it makes sense James
No idea why I wrote Hub seal!! I blame rushing at the end of my lunch break
Cant remember why now, but I came to the conclusion the CVs would run low on oil...
I agree, sounds like normal axles just with the hub seal taken out, so the bearings run on the axle oil. Only really effective on the rear axle. the front would end up with the CVs running low on oil.
