  1. To be perfectly honest it haven't had much use, but it is rather nice very solid and slides smoothly. . I'd definately buy another for the front when that goes
  2. Best trick I've found is as above, making lots of shallower cuts neatest and disks last longer . And if a disk is no longer any good for cutting fully, it can still be used to do the first cut
  3. Our XC60 was great in the snow last year, nice and comfy too
  4. Not a clue Jason, but interesting, I shall watch this
  5. I just turn up at my nice friendly local specialist with a few 2ltr Coke bottles works a treat and easy to store
  6. Thinking about it a bit more, if you find your local sleeping policeman type speed bump, does it clunk when the front or rear goes over it? Thats what i used to track down a clunk on the Pug
  7. I'd try getting a nice long pry bar in there and see if you can feel any slop
  8. Is it worth trying someone like Parvalux for a gear box? Ihey should cope with that sort of RPM, but not sure about the torque
  9. Excellent! Keep us posted, a nice detailed thread will be a good read !
  10. I wouldn't be put off by a 200tdi/other LR engine, Flux were fine with my 200tdi (all be it in 90!) and I was 19
  11. Jeff, that is the funniest thing I've read land rover related in ages
  12. are you after a brand new engine or second hand one? Second hand these are a few breakers it might be worth contacting: www.cws4x4.co.uk http://www.landroverbreaker.com/gpage.html
  13. Not sure you know, but Si built this as his work and back vehicle. Built from various bits and designed purely to have enough running to get to work and home again .
  14. My first check would be to take the binnacle out and unclip the speedo cable, go for a little drive and see if the centre of the cable still turns ok . If it still turns then I would vote for the broken speedo head. Like mine! Also mine sounds like a bag of cogs grinding quietly away!
  15. Thanks everyone Time to have a look about and natter to a couple of farmers I know in the village! . Wish a family friend still owned the village garage
  16. I've only seen it done with the wing moulding removed, and the snorkel dropped down enough for the pipe to reach the top of the wing and presumably a pipe underneath
  17. I'm after the part number for the rear light bulb holders for my NAS lights. They are the clip in type with the foam seal. I think they are the same as the 300tdi ones? (for the standard lights). Thanks
  18. Hello all, after todays wind and rain putting off my work on the truck, I'm wondering about some workshop space... (yes yes yes I'm a wimp ) What have people got and how much per month? I appreciate a few have their own places! Size/Electric/water? etc. Where is good to look for advertised space? I'm wanting something big enough to put the 90 in with room to move + extra height for jacking. And ideally, as close to my house as possible:P Thanks in advance
  19. All added to the Calendar so far . EDIT: Shout if I've made any mistakes!
  20. Nice 110 double cab/SW/Utility SW Freelander 1 RRC would be nice too.
