Sharpen a good stone drillbit. Just in the way you would sharpen a steel drillbit. And start slowly. Cool it with oil

Here in the Netherlands is diesel over the 2 euro mark per liter... -
I used a 2K and it can't take that much.. But, on the other hand.. it's a wotkshop floor.. Mine you can see about two week's a year😁 And that's over the year!

The old bolt, looks like M12x1.75, the new one 12x1.00 Measure with vernier calipers the top of the thread.

I would not have a problem to use a helicoil. If you don't feel sure enough about that, get a other swivel.
