  5. i went in guy just said , if you work in a garage no problem take in a pay slip i told him im not a mechanic but am a mechanical maintainance fitter , he said no problem just take any qualification , city+guilds, NVQ etc and will take around 10 mins to sort out you account and it will be acctivated there and then still got to dig out all my paper work may just use the heading bussnes paper route using my dads hydralic platform bussness
  6. keep the punch control system i think it worked quite well and on larger sites just try to locate near the centre of the site cant really see a way of making it possable to enter with both 1 and 2 car teams , dont thing a fair scoring system could be made , or just the option of 1 or 2 days if you stick with the 2 dayers , why cant we start 6-7 am on the sunday and finish by 2=3pm so we can all get on our way whilst its still light and possably make it home for tea
  7. personally i quite like the 2 vehicle events , and im not against 2 day events but maybe in the summer when we could all socilise round a big fire with some beers
  8. hi Matt i competed in the last 2 comps , but am unable to do the first round this year. how ever i do feel there would be a better take up if some of the events where 1 day , maybe just 2 .2dayers in the summer months and maybe the exact event format should be posted up as well , run times, night stages , specials etc , people stick with what they know , and when they dont know whats in store they often go back to what they know
  9. hi Daan , thanks for posting my post back up mine appears to have disapeared HFH i bought a disco wheel carrier that i had planed on fitting to my floor before i decided to go down my ''wheel well'' route maybe that would be an option
  10. mine are the 10.5 they are great off road just wish you could get them in 35"-36" did a challenge in buxton a few months ago and quite a few of the wider tyres strugled down on the bottom field i didnt get stuck once down there
  11. how much where you looking at for the simex when you remove them ?
  12. not the best pic but i had the same dilema , didnt want to loose rear visability , so made a ''wheel well'' that is sunk in to the floor , the A frame doesnt really move very much so tons of room under there , if you want more pics let us know can take some friday and pm them to you Dafydd
  13. i have a 2 bolt one here if you want it (got some wear , can send pics ) either just cover posatage costs or collect off me at the donnington 4x4 show (if your attending) regards Dafydd
  14. if your truck is not being used competevly , i wouldnt bother with the twin motor route complete wase of money for you i would either stick with another bowmotor , or the warn xp , which ever route you go for im assuming it will go long periods without use , in that case make sure you coat all the brush guides etc in the motor in a silocone greease or some thing similar otherwise the condensation corrodes the guides and when you really want your winch it wont work
  15. noticed my 200tdi disco has one fitted ? plemty of them in brakers yards
  16. hiya Carl the HW is the week before on the 15th , did clash but not now with the date change
  17. all the ones ive bought in the past (makro etc) dont come with spouts they come seperate , only cost £5 and you only really need 1
  18. i run gwyns kit and really like it , not done many comps in my truck and 1000s of road miles with no problems at all , its a very very well ballanced kit at a very good price , best thing to do if its possable is get a ride (or just a look) at a truck with each kit fitted or phone gwyn or simon and have a chat . if your not desprate for the kit why not try and get along to the indoor 4x4 show in donnington in feb devon have a stand there and im sure gwyn will pop along and maybe bring a kit down for you to see if you give him a ring in adavance . not decided if im going yet but if i do will bring my truck down and you can take a look at it regards Dafydd
  19. not the best pics but you can see the idea behind them , tryed to keep every thing with in the truck , not much space for any thing else but what i need fits , i had these made up fromm 6mm cheaquer plate
  20. yep thats defently gwyn lewis truck . http://www.gwynlewis4x4.co.uk/ give him a bell im sure he would be more than happy to discuss what hes done and why , and better still there will be very little on the truck bar some of the fab work that he will not have on the shelf
  21. looks like santas going to need a 110 to get all your pressies up to yours not entirely sure but think fiddles may put you up in to class 1 with awdc and maybe badlrc ?
  22. i never bothered to do that with mine when i changed the vac pump , the bolts are just long enougth to pull it up any way . but easyest way to cheak is with the glow plug out and a tourch shining into the bore
  23. hope fully some one with more elec knologe will be a long shortly but 13 v out of an alternator is normal there must be some thing drining the batts , alarm ? light left on , ignition left on when you sleep ?
  24. im no engineering student/graduate but that arm looks as if its going to turn out quite large (jonney joints are quite chunkey) and the addition of a joint Under the original mounts just looks as if its either going to rub on the front tyre on lock or get stuck and mashed up by the ground when off roading
