  1. pretty sure he does an exchange , for arms so you dont havr to be with out them , try parcels 2 go if you need to send your arms back to him , usally good prices and not to bad service
  2. are you sure your springs are +3" gwyns kit (as fitted to my truck) is only +2" im using standard arms with no problems at all , still on original bushes 2 years on . alternatvly Gwyn can ''bend'' your original arms to add castor correction , much stronger option . p.s make sure you use genuine trailing arm chassis bushes or you will be for ever replacing the dam things
  3. yea come on people , hundreds of pics where taken and we never get to see them , still after the photos from muddy truckers but none ever surfaced
  4. no problem Guss any time , know you would have done the same for any one else
  5. 2 day 2 vehicle events for me , i know team events are not every ones cup of tea but i like em Dafydd
  6. Glad i came to this event now , had a great day out , cheers to all the organisers , could see the effort that had gone in to setting out , was a great sprit with the other competetors , every one seamed to be enjoying them selfs wasnt unusuall to just see a car parked up taking 5 mins hope fully make the next one cheers Dafydd
  7. if your not sure what to do , maybe get some one to do it for you ?, either pm saley on here or pm me and i will give you his number , he can probably turn them around in a week or a trrip up to his will see them fitted
  8. john sales did mine for me , double bead lock (ring inside) well happy with them still ok on the road too
  9. can see that mere step that you call a hill from my fron window
  10. try filling it with Plus gas or equivelent and leave it a day or 2 , then carefull pulling and knocking with a soft faced hammer , good luck
  11. keep it standard , good quality stat , good quality antifreze to correct strenth and leave viscous fan do its job , an over cooled engine by removing stat wont help either . my 300tdi has never suffered off road with the standard set up. just make sure you keep, the rad clean
  12. did either of you email gwyn to give him the 'heads up' on this , hes probably not aware of this ?
  13. love the idea in princaple , but really depends how your going to go about it , pipe accross the wheel to a centre mounted ''union'' looks very vunrable to all but maybe overlanders (know some teams run it in dakar rally but usally have full spares back up) and i pretty sure a landrover axel couldnt cope with being pressurized to 40psi or there abouts
  14. i use the halfords pro stuff to , get a discount with trade card , and it has a life time warranty , i broke 2 18" breaker bars 2 days in a row (using 6' of scafold on them which i neglected to mention to them) replaced them both , although the guy did say with the second one that it was very rare to get returns never mind 2 in one week , i said maybe it was a bad batch he he
  15. you shouldnt have much problem with that , try remove some of the crome first weld will take no problem
  16. yep like some one said above its possable if you have the transfer pump , my neighbour used to do it with that set up . many years ago we used the red LPG bottles with a adaptor , turn bottle on its head and pour boiling water over it and it would transfer over to vehicle tank
  17. im lucky live on an old farm so have an old cattle shed to work on , and my neigbour is currently doing up a series1 so will prob make more noise than me
  18. i agree with bishboosh phone them both up and explain what you want to do with the vehicle , and let them tell you what you need , i run gwyns kit and its well made , and also have devon gear , two top companys in my opinion
  19. hi , my neigbour has just bought a series 1 , that looks as if it has been used for trialing in its previous life , and because of this the rear cross member is just a lenth of box section . he wants to change it back to an original looking cross member , but hasnt been able to find one , so asked me if the series2 rear cross member is the same ? did a quick search and it looks as if the series 1 was quite a bit narrower than than the series 2 , am i right ?> if so does any one know where he may be able to get a replacment rear cross member for a series 1 ? cheers Dafydd
  20. good luk sunday kev , another one i cant do , working , and really struggles to get the weekend after off to go on a stag do
  21. priced up genuine stub today , £78.27 +vat patten around £38 recon i may just try lay my hands on a ''speedy seal'' ring and repair my stub
  22. my bad thought i had put it up in international ?
  23. yep thats the ring , how does it keep the carp away from the seal ? my first thought it could fit ''tight'' in the back of the disc but it doesnt so just helps keep the carp IN the back of the disc around the seal p.s mods i must have put this in the wrong section , is there an option in my settings of an automated reply when a mod moves my post so i know where its gone too ?
  24. replacing the brake discs on my 90 today , and replacing stub oil seals (and probabley one stub axel too) do i really need the round steel plate come washer thingy on the stub axel (where it bolts on to axel ) i cant see much point to them . also where the best place to buy a new stub axel , one of mine has the seal journals baddly pitted , are patten ok or buy genuine ? ta Dafydd
