  1. Interesting...I was chatting to him on his tractor today (used the site for a work 4x4 exercise ) but he didn't mention it.. It is looking "worn" to be fair and he requested to keep away from areas where the railway line comes close to sone of the flooded tracks. He may have had some "complaints" from the Watercress line...
  2. Will the Disco 200Tdi versions fit a '93 Classic 200Tdi with Borg Warner do you reckon bearing in mind Disco's had a different transfer box? Wide Angle Propshafts
  3. Done. Bl**dy ridiculous as the A303 is so close. Asked them in my objection to consider shutting the A303 Come on everyone fill in the online form, it only takes 2mins....
  4. Will these fit a '93 Classic as a direct swap? Upgraded lamps Cheers Rob
  5. Only ever made steel as far as my 30 years knowledge remembers I have an Ali one on mine and it's great. Just remember to close it with hands at ends not middle to stop it bending. It needs the rods adjusting once in a while like all of them.... Paddocks's selling them cheap right now...
  6. Martin - I use the Machine Mart suction gun to good effect. Cheap enough for twice a year! Rob
  7. Cheers. Looks like Britcar and Dunsfold have some in stock....will call around tomorrow am. Duct tape to the rescue for an interim repair...
  8. Thanks. Do you know if they are exactly the same part though? Ta.
  9. The hose on my 200Tdi RRC factory fit has split a little near the turbo end.... Anybody know where I can get a new one or a silicone replacement ? Part no is ESR1857. Is this the same on a Disco 1 as on a RRC ? Cheers Rob
  10. Pete did a fantastic job on my RR - new inner wings, braided brake hoses and lot of other little jobs. He's one of the few mechanics that I know that is a genuine LR enthusiast. 100% recommendation.
  11. Cheers for the recommendation. Will call them... What did they use? Dinitrol? Ta
  12. Have emailed them asking about internal waxing. Will let you know.... Ta
  13. Hi Anybody used these guys and got any feedback? Thinking of doing the RR in the Spring.... Waxoyl in West Sussex Cheers! Rob
  14. Thanks for the advice on this thread. Taking my '93 RR down to Pete's tomorrow for new inner wings to be fitted (ebay is great ) and a list of other jobs. He comes highly recommended from SCOR's Dave Turnbull.....
  15. I took mine off completely after fitting HD springs. No difference in ride or roll and 1 less thing to potentially fail the MOT
  16. As quoted on the VC section of Ashcrofts website: A common problem with the Range Rover BW transfer case is a "seized viscous coupling". This can easily be identified by the effect it has on cornering, the tyres will "chirp" or "scrub", as the vehicle is effectively permanently in diff lock. As a confirming check, put transfer case in "neutral", handbrake on, jack up one front wheel and try to turn it, it should turn slowly with resistance, if locked solid the viscous coupling is seized, and will need changing before any damage to the diffs or CV joints occur. I've used this method to check VCs on a few RRs and it is the test that had has always worked. Note they say transfer case in neutral and handbrake on....
  17. Replacement boot floors are pence from Paddocks etc. Well, <£50 BOOT FLOOR
  18. Agree, that's in good condition. If it was me I would treat with antirust and paint. Also waxoyl it underneath. The flat area on the drivers side will rot out like mine did. I've just pop rivetted a repair bit in. Look in my gallery for pics on what I did. I've acquired an ali replacement panel for when the time comes
  19. Cheers for that. No major loss really as that one I drove it in the Clio once to avoid the southbound queues - it's like a road now as you know. Glad to see the others are being kept open but do wish the Gibbet Hill steep one was not as severe so it could be driven by "tidy" motors without damage. What are chances Surrey CC could fill in the massive ruts??? Would come out tomorrow but flying to West Africa to make sure the crude oil keeps flowing to fuel our motors
  20. Are you sure? If so, which ones? I don't see how the new road can affect them.... Sounds like another nail in the coffin for us...
  21. Spot the mistakes on the "camping" page = piccy is of Eastnor and dates are wrong in text Plus location on home page is entirely wrong - it says Eastnor twice!! Apparently Advanced Tickets are now closed - I guess another mistake on the "tickets" page....doesn't bode well
  22. Done via online form Took 5mins...come on folks!!!
  23. Nipped mine up tight with no tape....been fine...
  24. I recall a Permanent TRO slapped on it in the last 18months. Best check with the Council by phone....
