  3. Camping mats score 2 out of 3
  4. Land rover supply packers, 2mm thick ali plates with 2 slots, so can be dropped down over the bolts, you normally need 2 or 3.

  7. Yes diesel, can i run it from it's own tank so it could be run on red deisel? Is this the sort of kit i'd need to heat up the cab and defrost the windoes ?
  8. My commute is only 15 mins and i'd like to get the glass defrosted before setting off?
  9. I'm looking at putting a proper heater in the landy and have a bunch of questions for those who have them as i know nothing about the subject. Whats the difference between Webasto and Eberspacher ? Where in a hard top defender would it be fitted ? Is it a diy install? What does it connect to? Where does the heat go to and how ? Can I set it going before I get into the landy in the morning? With it parked about 100m from the house? What sort of money is it going to cost me? second hand? What sort of running/maintenance costs? Any details of your setup would be great. Cheers
  10. Can anyone recomend a product to remove scratches from windscreen glass ? Mine is covered in 100's of tiny scratches, and the current low sunlight means i cant see a thing Any body had good results with a particular product ?

  13. they won't even cover my 100" defender with winch, locker etc, so what they class as modified must be 'extreme'
  14. In simple terms Jack up, axle stands under chassis legs behind axle wheels off remove brake calipers, not disturbing fluid lines (saves bleeding afterwards) remove dampers lower axle to remove springs disconnect prop, panhard rod, steering drop arm, breather, steering damper unbolt radius arms from chassis slide out axle unbolt radius arms refit in reverse.
  15. Like this ? It's been on my list of to do mods, but the lever setup works fine, so never bothered to change it
  16. Unless you've got someone who can weld a new diff pan on for you, it would be easier for you to replace the axle tube for a second hand one, and bolt the complete swivel and hub units from your current axle, together with another diff into the tube. Or just put another complete axle on, and keep yours for spare shafts, cv's etc
  17. My two go between the two seats (no cubby box), on the little flat infront of the middle bulkhead, were the seat box joins the rear tub. if that makes sense
  18. It looks even better in slow-mo video, uploading as i type Good to here they are all ok.
  19. It was a fantastic event as always. Despite the horendous weather on Friday, it cleared up by Saturday which was a good day, apart from a small incident (does anyone know if they are out of hospital yet?). Sunday, well i hardly saw anyone on site despite doing numerous laps of all the punch locations. It looks like there were a few more damages on sunday as the ground dried out. Anyway, a few pics, video to follow
  20. Especially if you try my 'special' punches yes Ross, I'll be there in the 100".
  21. I'll have my Marshal number plate in the window so come and say hi
