  1. if someone has removed the air filter...
  2. I know it isn't the proper solution but I have found stp or wynns hydraulic tappet treatment does the trick. Saying that if you have paid your mechanic get him to solve it.
  3. There are other axles too. Setting volvo portals to one side the toyota landcruiser 80 series with their inbuilt lockers are a definite option.
  4. Looks like a small remoulder in italy. http://www.ziarelli.com/home2.html is the manufacturers website. What I thought interesting if you click product and then off road, not only have you learned two italian words but that he has shamelessly called one tyre BFG and another WRANG2. Doesn't look like his Brutal is other sizes yet though.
  5. Publishing the mag online seems strange, why would any pay 5Euro for it then? Oh, I see now, you can't zoom to read it. Why are the french being charged 12,000 Euro for the "new" Lada when it is only £8k in the UK?
  6. Or if you are tough and don't mind the elements these door bottoms from WM4x4 seem good value at £100 for the pair.
  7. Now all you have to do is give up that box of audio leads, video leads, scart cables and old mobile phone chargers.
  8. After many years of collecting junk I have sold or binned most of it, mainly because I kept buying stuff because I coundn't find it. Quite often I would find the part only to discover that the diff sitting on it had broken it anyway. The painful bit was parting with things like spare steering boxes, starters and alternators. Next up are pieces of timber, paint tins, boxes of wall tiles, countless bicycles, that old stick welder, loads of broken power tools (no, I am never going to fix them), patio heater (why did I but that?) and loads more.
  9. Cracking adventure. Guessing not a camera phone!
  10. Vague handling can be caused by a lot of things, but reading seems more like the rear axle steer caused by worn/cheap radius arm bushes than poor dampers.
  11. Now you've got it that far you might as well take the rest off and drop in a new chassis
  12. You could give Noel a call to see if he still has it...
  13. I am thinking 95. Doubtless someone will be along with the chassis number and day it left solihull.
  14. Because TIG'ing is harder and the equipment is way more expensive. Any chance of a translation? :P
  15. Nothing to do with the seller, just thought this tent looked reasonably good value. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/TERRAIN-EXTENDED-ROOF-TENT-AND-ADDITIONAL-ROOM-NEW_W0QQitemZ280468730301QQcategoryZ31348QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp4340.m8QQ_trkparmsZalgo%3DMW%26its%3DC%26itu%3DUCC%26otn%3D5%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D5663012144951004000 What do you think?
  16. Are you sure you need to upgrade? A standard TD5 will be expected to perform a hill start with an all up weight well over 6 tonnes, that will ask a lot more from the clutch than a power upgrade will. Saying that an upgrade will be sensible if you are replacing it anyway.
  17. So in answer to your question the answer is poor workmanship from your garage. It appears they did not bed in the pads which is normally the cause of brake judder after replacement. You paid them to replace the brakes which includes the bedding process.
  18. If you buy anything from Ashcroft, QT or Xeng you will get free stickers (lots normally). Doesn't really make the stickers free unless you need something from them!
  19. You can stick weld with most tigs can't you? Not as tidy but easier to get into tight spaces.
  20. Thanks for your thoughts. Looks like a bit more cutting/welding for me then. Paddocks aren't far from my daily commute so not too far to go to pick them up. Unless of course a bargain crops up on ebay.
  21. So have I. Well found Mutley. They have only got 9 left now.
