Are Fram oil filters any good

Recommended Posts

When I worked in the Agri and plant industry, we used to sell OE, Crossland, and Fram, and the amount of customers who wouldnt buy OE fuel filters "because they block up too quick" you wouldnt believe.

Dont know about now because I have been out of it for 25 years, but Wix, Fram, and Crossland were ones to be avoided.

I only fit Mahle (Knecht) , Mann & Hummel, AC Delco, and Coopers, and of course OE.

I've used many different makes of filters over the years and the only one I've had problems with was a Crossland fuel filter on my 19J engine. I've used Fram filters on several of my vehicles without issue

I once had a mk4 2.0 Cortina and did an oil and filter change later that day i went out and rattle the big ends out of it, cause the TJ oil filter i used was leaking badly around the seam so i never used that make of filter again and i haven't heard of them since either ☹️
