You will need them to carry both spare wheels , But the pros are youll save weight by dumping the gearbox and transfer box and props . If I could lose front and rear overhang it could give zero swing and would turn on its own axis. simonr Posted December 7, 2007 Share Posted December 7, 2007 A while back I considered building something out of a hydrostatic drive crop sprayer - since it has everything built in that you need. Ones with broken/missing booms don't tend to go for much more money than this and often they run HUGE diameter wheels that make Bathtub's loo like a dinky toy! I fancy the idea of building the cab inside the wheel diameter such that you could run inverted (uncomfortably) but more to use the wheels as your cage. With spoked wheels - you would be able to see out the sides too. Just run tank steer with a big pivot between the front & rear halves to allow articulation. Fag packet sketch.....
