stuck
2000 110 TD5, 38 year old driver' no convictions but 6 points with 4 years NCB... Just short of £1000 fully comp (and yes I did ring around) Apparently BB3 is a high risk area but come on, it's a bloody Land Rover not a Porche! Edit: hadn't read the above link, bang goes young lads buying LR's because they are cheap to ensure,
webbersdad
I've been with NFU for 11 years; no claims, no points etc. Last year the premium for my 4.6 Rangie P38 was less than £600 for business use etc. This year NFU quoted £1200+ A visit to gocompare found me Admiral at sub £600. I spent a few hours filling in details for various insurance companies direct, but couldn't get a better deal. I got the impression that NFU are trying to get out of motor insurance. 11 years of business and loyalty counted for zero. webbersdad. solentis
I have a 2009 110 puma utility which has a roll cage and a fitted hannibal roof rack. Mounted to this is a telescopic mast. This apparently counts as vehicle modification and as such many insurance companies wouldn't even quote. Last year I paid £1500 for a trade policy. This year I managed to get a specialist VAN!! policy for just over £800. Crazy world
sharpy
Hiya, I have just renewed my insurance with PBIS (Peter Best Insurance)and i think i got a great deal, and the pemium has gone down from last year, last year £240 this year £193 fully comp!!! My truck has mods which i declared 3 inch lift 33x12.5x17 wheels Disco engine Light bar A bar with spots Rear work light Straight through side exit exhaust Mud dash Tinted Black windows in rear and sides(not wind up windows) My £193 includes breakdown and recovery(including greenlane)my partner is 24 and i am 43, so my age helps but hers drags us down as she is under 25. Didn't like to put the number up, a web search will find them or pm me. Adrian Flux wouldnt touch me and two other large companies wanted £560 and £707 P.S. a mate uses them aswell he has 9 points on his licence and pays £240 he is 38 Cheers Paul

samd35
Ive got an E reg 110 CSW 3.5 V8 on LPG and Im paying £600 third party fire and theft with aviva and im only 19 wich i dont think is a bad price knowing what sum friends are being charged for litle cars I think its just insurance has gone silly and its worth shopping around as my renewal quote when i still had a discovery was £1000 cheaper staying with aviva as to the lowest other quote i got! Vulch
I phoned Footman James (Google them) who had insured my old GT6 until I sold it. My 110 is 1993 (mostly) and, being more than 17 years old, they put it on a Classic car policy. No limited mileage or anything. Including recovery, came to £134 fully comp. I'm 37 and she's 34. 12 years NCB, but they didn't include this as it's a classic policy. However, I can carry my NCB on to another policy with a cover note at any time. Think I'm winning so far ;-) HTH Vulch
