Guest diesel_jim
I can normally eat 3 or 4, as long as they've got golden syrup on them though. i don't like them dry....

Sure he'll post just a piccie to P*ss you off with the systenm he has I have never really got mine to be anything other than a right PITFA in the 90.... one of the 'things I need to sort', and have no idea really other than rachet down to the cage in the load area, ...........and hence the prev comment Nige
Tonk
just across the back (old photo)
JST
2 X 38mm ones, rested on their side across the back of the load bay. when i made the side lockers just made them a little short to leave space for the waffles behind.
reads90
here are my old ones. Just need two as long as they are off this length. Unless you are moglite and make 4 short ones and then have Tonk and me fall on the floor with laughter when in a comp you go to cross a ditch and your ladders fall down the hole to the bottom and don't reach across remeber Tonk
stripy
we take 4, 2 @ 5ft which sit on the roof (full bodied 90) and 2 @ 4ft inside ( we run with no rear door) we have used all four on lots of sections and probley could have used another
smo
4 seems like a logical number to carry, however most people i've seen carry 2. Personally i carry 0 at the moment, but will be fitting 2 on in the new year
freeagent
i only carry two in the disco, but if i was into the winch challenge thing, or doing some serious 'off-tarmac' stuff on my own, i'd take four.
stripy
like this !
Mark
2x 38mm thick ones in the disco - 50mm would probably be better wit a heavy car, but I have not had a problem with these. No clever holder or anything, just bungied down: Cheers Mark
will_warne
I found waffles a total PITA in a hardtop. Infact this was one of the big motivations to go king cab! I just couldn't find a decent solution (roof = too high, inside = too difficult to get in and out unless short). I'll be carrying 2 38mm to all events using some of Tonks' carriers and then a second pair to tough events on the rollcage.
white90
poor pic but this is where they live (Well the old 38mm ones in pic) now I run with no rear door at events I find it easy to get them in/out and have had no troubles using them
general-confusion
4 50mm in holders just inside rear of rear tub . If you have to go up and over a large obstacle (felled tree trunk etc) you need 2 to get up and 2 to get back down the other side
Francisco
What do you all recommend? 38 or 50mm Waffles? This is for 1500Kg vehicle.
JST
38mm i reckon is sufficient, or has been for my truck cab so far.
will_warne
38mm i reckon is sufficient, or has been for my truck cab so far. My truck was pretty heavy pre the diet and I never had issues with 38mm
