reb78
Can anyone tell me the difference between the BFG AT KO and KO2 tyres? The KO2 is about £30 cheaper on paddocks and after a pumcture on the M6 today, i need a new tyre (will be getting at least a pair).
need4speed
I thought that the KO2 was the new design..

Landy-Novice
as above, new improved design with a a new sidewall, something like 20% stronger, fact there cheaper seems a win win.
Retroanaconda
One of the things that I liked about the old AT was the long life, will be interesting to see how the new model fares in this regard.
Soren Frimodt
My Brothers wife has KO2's on her Freebie, and we can all recommend them, they are so much better than the old ones, many times better in the wet, much less noisy, better grip offroad and as you've found out cheaper. I don't really fancy the new M/T KM2 but the KO2's seem so be right on the money. Just my 2cents of course
reb78
Thanks. KO2s it is then. Where are you buying tyres at the moment? Black circles are slightly cheaper than paddocks - fitted price £142.
Landy-Novice
assuming your running 235's? http://www.camskill.co.uk/m64b0s234p132234/BF_Goodrich_Tyres_SUV_4x4_BF_Goodrich_ATKO2_All_Terrain_TA_BF_Goodrich_AT_KO2_-_235_85_R16_LT_120S_TL_Fuel_Eff_%3A_F_Wet_Grip%3A_B_NoiseClass%3A_2_Noise%3A_74dB
reb78
265/75/16 on mine. (Although one at the moment is a 7.50x16)
Landy-Novice
fiver cheaper. https://www.4x4tyres.co.uk/265-75-16-b-f-goodrich-t-a-ko-2-all-terrain-119r_935228?gclid=Cj0KEQjws_m6BRCv37WbtNmJs-IBEiQAWKKt0LyyEO23RdOyEo-Q4CVI_gYJkU_Ok1nOcd8DKv94QWEaAg8c8P8HAQ
GW8IZR
235 KO2s on my 90, they drive really well. I have had the original AT's on lots of vehicles and they were very good but I'd go with the new now. if you buy the old ones its almost inevitable that you will end up on a mixture eventually
reb78
£136 each fitted with ATS. Best so far!
Lewis
I had my KM2's from tyreleader https://www.tyreleader.co.uk/car-tyres/bfgoodrich/all-terrain-t-a-ko2/265-75-r16-119-116r-411818 126quid delivered seems cheap, but only if you can get them fitted for free
Retroanaconda
I bought a set of the old AT from Oponeo last year (they were the cheapest I could find - they're all the same tyres so why pay more?). Free delivery to home and then I got the local garage to swap them over for a fiver each. Pretty cheap way of doing it. The ATS in town wanted over £20 per tyre more, supplied and fitted. I don't mind paying a bit more sometimes for local convenience but draw the line at that! More on topic, one thing I don't like about the new AT is the more aggressive sidewall design. But beggars can't be choosers I suppose.
reb78
Just to finish this thread off. I bought the new AT KO2s and had them fitted last week. They look like a nice tyre. 1000 miles this weekend (about 2/3 with a fully loaded trailer) and they feel nice enough too. Makes me realise how much the old ones have worn down on the back, so will probably look to replacing them before the end of the year (they are on 65k miles at the moment).
