  1. Hell of a Disco here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/ulk/itm/301862495972
  2. Nige - could she do the train ?
  3. Anyone know what's the self levelling sealer might be that I've seen used in the guttering ?
  4. I must be dense (and perhaps offering another compliment) because I can't see what's going on. Perhaps a bigger screen than my phone would help.
  5. It is 36 - I suffered tolerance issues. The new bulb was undersized and the contacts barely stretched to the bulb that came out - which was oversized.
  6. Can I piggyback a question - where do folk buy their 35 mm^2 cable from ? I want to re do some of the wiring on mine and I'm aware that some cable is more flexible than other.
  7. I guess the big one is wether the head is cracked - so if it's using water. Almost everything else is bolting new parts on - that ones a bit more expensive. Dare I say for the oil pump bolt - if it would have fell out it would have by now..... Great engines in my opinion.
  8. I think a buyer should have some right to not being lied to about the condition of a vehicle. Otherwise we are absolving those who would con us of any responsibility. Obviously a buyer should take some responsibility - in line with what is reasonable. But I do think their is a point where it moves over into fraud and in that instance we shouldn't take such a hard stance on those taken in by it.
  9. or maybe they do enough of them that GKN will keep a line open for them?
  10. Some sort of block paving ....... I'll get my coat.
  11. No need to apologise Mo . The confusion is just that my air intake has both captive nuts - and spire nuts ... And silicone ! So I wasn't really clear what should be there - sorted now though. Thank you all.
  12. Sorry - I'm missing the obvious here ... Why are there spire nuts and captive ones ?
  13. Thanks both. There are two spire nuts too - so do you mean the screws for them are supposed to come through the cover? I don't think I've seen a grille with screws on it !
  14. Are the ducts that mount to the inside of the wing all supposed to be held with screws and captive nuts? - mine look like rivets ...
  15. I can't be accused of rushing things ... But I've finally got back to this - swapped it with the one from my old LT230. Getting it to spin, as Neil said, was definitely the key to getting them out. Pulling the hand brake off, as Mo suggested, was also definitely the way to go. Thanks Chaps.
  16. I've just read up on interior and the interior was a 36mm festoon bulb ... so I bought some and they don't fit. Although I just measured the bulb that came out and it seems to be a fraction under 37mm - so I need to compare diameters. Apologies - probably not much help but your post is topical to my confusion.
  17. I bought a tiny Chinese motorbike one - came with usb and sd card slots, and was so small that I cut slots in the plastic dash panel and mounted it straight to the existing dash bracketry. Which meant I kept a neat simple appearance and still had most of the space. Here it is during fitting: I swapped the cig lighter for a double USB, tidied the wiring up and I though it looked fine.
  18. Oops - when I started my post I didn't notice you'd put a picture up ... There is a 'bodge' in the tech archive for marking the nut and then tapping the shaft through to fit a new 'o' ring. Worth a look as they do flatten - when I took mine out it looked square.
  19. So where is it leaking from ? Common ones being either output shaft - so into the hand brake drum or at the back of the front prop. Also the intermediate shaft o ring - at the front face of the box next to where it mates to the gearbox. There are guides to fixing all of thos in this sites tech archives.
  20. I would think it's worth exploring other avenues before you consider swapping it - Where is it leaking from? There are a few common leaks that are really rather straightforward and inexpensive to fix with it in situ.
